Ho pensato a ciò che ama vostra figlia e ho provato ad immaginare la camera da letto attraverso i suoi occhi. Un adolescente ha una visione diversa di una camera da letto rispetto a un adulto. Non è solo un posto dove dormire, deve essere il suo rifugio dal mondo. Ci sono pochi posti in cui un adolescente può esprimersi liberamente, e la sua camera da letto è il primo di questi posti. La camera è l’espressione di quello che gli adolescenti sono; divisi tra infanzia e età adulta, magari hanno ancora dei giocattoli a cui non sanno rinunciare, ma sicuramente vogliono una stanza che sia più adulta e sofisticata rispetto alla loro camera da bambini.
Ho cercato di ricreare un ambiente che sembri un mini appartamento indipendente dove trascorrere la maggior parte del tempo in modo confortevole. Ho considerato la camera più di un semplice spazio per dormire; una camera dove passare il tempo, tra studio e amici, è quasi più importante per loro che dormire. La cosa più importante della camera diventa quindi l’aspetto sociale. Un ruolo per me molto importante in una camera da letto per adolescente è svolto dalla “creatività”; elementi fantasiosi possono esaltare un adolescente. Per questo ho scelto un letto rotondo che è il cuore del progetto; accogliente e ammiccante, pensato non solo per dormire ma anche come luogo di svago con gli amici o come angolo relax per una buona lettura. Creatività rafforzata dalla presenza di una lavagna sulla parete intonacata bianca.
Per quanto riguarda l’arredamento, ho pensato ad uno stile che riflettesse il carattere romantico di una ragazza adolescente, molto delicato e raffinato, con tocchi di colore porpora per soddisfare (spero) il suo gusto personale.
Per la realizzazione delle due pareti “Box”, ho pensato ad un sistema modulare autoportante composto da elementi di legno massello di facile assemblaggio (tasselli e viti). La sua grande caratteristica è quella di poter essere smontato e ricostruito facilmente in caso di eventuali modifiche degli interni. Oltre ad avere qualità funzionali, presenta elevate qualità estetiche in quanto va a caratterizzare la zona living con pregevoli elementi di design.

I thought about what your daughter loves and I tried to imagine the bedroom through her eyes. A teenager has a different view of a bedroom than an adult. It is not just a place to sleep, but it’s his refuge from the world. There are few places where a teenager can express themselves freely, and his bedroom is the first of these places. The room is the expression of what teenagers are; divided between childhood and adulthood, maybe they still have toys which can not give up, but definitely want a room that is more adult and sophisticated with respect to their children's room. I tried to recreate a place that looks like a mini independent apartment where to spend most of the time comfortably. I considered the room more than just a place to sleep; a room to pass the time between study and friends, it's almost more important to them than sleeping. The most important thing about the room becomes the social aspect. A role for me very important for a teen bedroom is played by the "creativity"; imaginative elements can enhance a teenager. Then I chose a round bed that is the heart of the project; cozy and inviting, designed not only to sleep but also as a place of leisure with friends or as a relaxation area for a good read. Creativity enhanced by the presence of a blackboard on white plastered wall. As for the furniture, I thought of a style that reflects the romantic character of a teenage girl, very delicate and refined, with touches of color purple to meet (I hope) his personal taste. For the realization of the two walls "Box", I thought of a self-supporting modular system consisting of solid wood elements easy to assemble (plugs and screws). Its great feature is that it can be easily dismantled and rebuilt in case of any changes of the interior. In addition to having functional qualities, it has high aesthetic qualities as it goes to characterize the living area with valuable design elements.
