Description

Our project proposes adapting the space to the needs raised with the least possible intervention, seeking to revalue the existing stone walls.

The idea of the project begins by separating the public and private areas of the house. The public area (living + kitchen + dining room) is situated based on the location of the garden and next to the main access. In order to conform a private area (rooms + bathrooms + laundry), its access is presented through a corridor and a hall.

We located the living room in the space that we found was the most quiet and cozy. The dining room having a more flexible dynamic makes it easier to circulate, for this reason its located next to the access. The kitchen fits this scheme as a link between both spaces. If a separation between rooms was required, is possible to place sliding doors that stop on the wall behind the refrigerator. As for the private area, we set a hall that contains its access, freeing the circulation of the corridor.

This corridor works as a free space where the stone walls stand out. We encourage to highlight them with dim lighting from the ground and incorporate indoor plants next to them. At the same time, we proposed a receiver module using one of the walls as a coat rack, enhancing its image with a mirror in front of it.

We have detailed the elements of the project in the AutoCAD file’s layers.
