florida multi-purpose living area

Briefing

This is the only "living area" in the house. It is a large room with vaulted ceilings and it needs to hold an every day living and dining area in the same room. We do watch a TV a lot so that needs to be taken into account. We added a lot of windows to the room, so it is somewhat limited where the tv can be placed. The large sliding Door that we added is 24' long with a max 12' opening when the doors are open. This side overlooks the pool and waterfront. The ceiling will be tongue and groove and will be white or possibly stained to match the floor which will be a medium wide-pIank wood. Other than that, no other design elements have been chosen. I would define the overall style that we are trying to achieve as "modern tropical" if that is a thing. I want the end product to be clean and comfortable.
