Project description

General Concept

The basement design was conceived as a holistic wellness space, combining functionality and aesthetics to offer an experience of comfort and exclusivity. Various areas—gym, sports recovery pool, sauna, jacuzzi, bar, and lounge—were integrated under a concept of spatial fluidity, where zoning and level changes optimized the relationship between each environment.

Zoning and Spatial Distribution

Given the significance of the sports recovery pool, whose size and depth defined much of the project's organization, a strategic level change was implemented to facilitate circulation and visual connection between spaces. This solution allowed for seamless integration of each area without abrupt transitions in the design.

Sports Recovery Pool: Positioned as the central element, its design adheres to ergonomic and therapeutic criteria, allowing for proper mobility within the water. Materials and lighting were carefully selected to enhance relaxation and comfort.

Gym Area: Located on a higher level with a view of the pool, promoting visual connection and fostering a dynamic atmosphere. Durable and low-maintenance finishes were used.

Sauna and Jacuzzi: Placed in a more private section to ensure tranquility and well-being, incorporating warm materials and immersive textures.

Bar and Lounge Area: Designed as a transitional space between the sports and relaxation areas, encouraging social interaction. Indirect lighting and comfortable furniture create a sophisticated and inviting ambiance.

Materiality and Ambiance

The interior design was based on a palette of high-quality natural materials, including wood, stone, and thermal cladding, adding warmth and sophistication. Lighting played a key role in the ambiance, with an adjustable system that allows for different scenarios depending on the space’s use.

Overall, this intervention achieved a balance between functionality and aesthetics, creating a basement with a distinct identity where each space contributes to a comprehensive wellness experience.
