We are very happy to have participated in your contest.
Our main challenges in this competition included the length of the pool (lap pool), the need to increase the floor height to create a pool, and the planned fixed location for the fireplace chimney.
In our first step, we made the height of the pool area different from the other areas (gym and living room) by anticipating a few steps so that by providing the necessary depth for the pool, it would not reduce the height of the living room and gym, especially in the gym area where the low height prevents proper air circulation.
We divided the basement into three areas: gym, living room, and pool (spa), and we tried to divide this in such a way that all areas had windows and access to open air and natural light.
We arranged the layout in such a way that the pool had direct and convenient access to the living room, gym, and sauna area, and the gym also had convenient access to the living room.
We separated the spa area from the living room with a glass window and placed this window in a place where the gym, pool and living room (fireplace area) have a direct view of each other.
We also placed the bathroom and toilet area in a hidden corner of the complex.
In the second proposal, we considered a 20 cm margin for the pool, thereby ensuring the required depth of the pool and making the height of the spa area more desirable. In this proposal, by removing a step at the entrance to the pool, the width of the seating area was also increased.
