Description

The whole floor area is divided into two apartments: Apartment I & Apartment II.
The design has opted to demolish the existing walls and recreate new walls.
Apartment I: It has an entrance with a wooden room divider to create a small enclosure and separate the living area from the entrance space. The small kitchenette is behind the door and doesn't appear directly when someone enters the apartment. A cozy dining table can be also used as an additional working top near the kitchen space. The actual living area is divided into a sitting area with couches and a small reading area near the bookshelves and library. From the living area, one can either access the bathroom or the bedroom with a queen size bed and a small desk.
Apartment II: From the common space, an entrance opens to the living area with that has a library and TV set on the wall.
The kitchenette is behind the entrance door and near the terrace where the tenants can enjoy a meal outside when the weather is good.
A small buffer zone from the living area can lead to the two bedrooms (which both have a desk and single bed) and to the bathroom (where there are the washing machine and dryer) and WC (or guest toilet).
In this apartment II, there are 20 cm thick walls enclosing the terrace to create a better thermal insulation and thus more comfort for the people inside.
