Residential - Villa
Dear Client,
The proposed villa has been conceived as a contemporary single-family residence with an approximate built area of 200 sqm, carefully integrated within the generous dimensions of the site. The design aims to establish a balance between architectural simplicity, functional efficiency, and a strong relationship with the surrounding landscape.
The placement of the building is driven by solar orientation, privacy considerations, and the overall organization of outdoor spaces. In accordance with your requirements, the main site access is located on the western edge of the property, allowing for a clear circulation pattern while preserving the quality of the primary outdoor areas.
The architectural concept is based on a contemporary minimalist approach, characterized by clean geometric volumes, restrained material expression, and subtle variations in roof heights. These shifts in elevation create visual interest, enhance the building’s proportions, and contribute to a distinctive architectural identity without compromising the simplicity of the overall composition.
The spatial organization is structured around a clear separation between public and private functions. The residence includes three bedrooms and a dedicated office, positioned within the quieter eastern portion of the plan to ensure privacy and comfort. The kitchen, dining area, and main living space form the social heart of the home and are strategically oriented toward the south and southeast to maximize daylight penetration throughout the year.
Large floor-to-ceiling openings strengthen the connection between interior and exterior spaces, allowing natural light to become a defining element of the living experience while framing views toward the landscaped garden. This approach enhances both spatial quality and the visual relationship between the architecture and its natural surroundings.
A linear and elongated floor plan was selected as the primary organizational strategy. This configuration responds efficiently to the site conditions, optimizes solar exposure, establishes clear functional zoning, and promotes a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor environments.
The parking area and DIY/workshop space have been intentionally positioned more than three meters behind the main façade line. This decision reduces the visual impact of vehicles upon arrival and allows the architecture itself to remain the dominant element of the entrance experience.
The landscape design has been developed as an extension of the architectural concept, creating a cohesive environment where built and open spaces work together to support both daily living and outdoor enjoyment.
The accompanying visualizations have been prepared to communicate the architectural vision, spatial atmosphere, and overall character of the proposal. As this submission represents a conceptual design, the project can be further refined and developed in response to your feedback and specific requirements.
Based on the site analysis and project objectives, this proposal seeks to create a contemporary residence that combines functionality, comfort, natural light, privacy, and a strong connection to its landscape setting.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I hope this proposal successfully reflects your aspirations for the project, and I would be pleased to further develop the design in the next stages if given the opportunity.
Kind regards
