Converting a Commercial space into a cozy and warm Residential space is quite challenging based on the shifting of the initial purpose. Yet the "From Commercial to Residential" project has been an exciting opportunity to overcome many such challenges and I would like to thank the client for providing such a contest to participate.
The main scope of the project is to accommodate two double bedrooms and two bathrooms within the previous commercial space. One bedroom has been located at the furthest end of the building maintaining privacy and allowing more space for relaxation from the street hustle. An open bath has been incorporated with a green wall and a luxurious tub optimizing the existing window as a multi-purpose utilization without creating new openings. The master bath has been naturally lighted with the adjacent window through a glass panel.
An open-plan living/dining with a pantry has been located in the front space adjacent to the street allowing guests to have a warm welcome while maintaining the privacy of the residents.
A smart plane moving parking system has been proposed for parking due to the limited access allowing the vehicle to be directly entered onto the parking platform and then tracked back to the parking space horizontally. From Commercial to Residential has been an innovative and smart design with technological advancements and smart living principles incorporated into a modern masterpiece.
