The main challenge of the project was to provide a kitchen island for 8 people. The challenge has been addressed with a long kitchen island consisting of an extendable countertop that could be used to double the dining seating capacity during lunch or dinner while being hidden under the 8-person island while not being utilized. In addition to the dining space combined with the kitchen, a living space has been incorporated with a guest bath on the ground floor allowing the guests to remain on the ground floor only by protecting the residents' privacy.
On the second floor, the master suite has been designed with a walk-in closet and a large bath consisting of a 180cm bathtub as requested. The study room has been equipped with a central desk, armchairs, and a closet adjacent to the master suite which can be easily accessed from the entrance door. In addition, the existing fireplace has been renovated into a double-sided one facilitating both 5-seater family living with a computer and a small lounge for relaxing while enjoying the warmth of the fireplace on the other side.
