Description

The geometric shape of this volume arises from thinking of the old barn typology, an old construction conceived in rural settings, as a new interpretation of contemporary domestic space. Making the most of the location on the ground, the solution of a compact volume with a rectangular floor plan with a gabled roof in its longitudinal direction is adopted.
The project contains a large garage with space for tools, an office that can be used as a guest room, two bedrooms, a bathroom with a sauna, a bathroom - laundry room, and a large space that contains a kitchen, dining room and living room. This last space, generous and full of natural light to relax, joins the porch functioning as the main social space, allowing it to extend in space and view towards the agricultural plantations to the south. Each space responds to the needs expressed by the client, meeting the requirements of built area and volume (exact 600 m3).
The gabled roof joins the context of the neighborhood but in a modern way, generating different slopes with a black sheet metal finish. Light-colored wood is used in the exterior cladding, generating a contrast in the openings, where the black aluminum carpentry goes from floor to ceiling.
By placing smaller windows on the east-west facades, the house has a better thermal capacity for the cold winter. These windows, together with the large window that opens to the south, create a great connection with the green space outside and take advantage of most hours of daylight to absorb solar energy. In addition, the solar panels are placed on the roof with less inclination, working more efficiently.
The house is respectful of the environment and the construction tradition of the area, standing out with its contemporary style without imposing itself on the landscape.
In the AutoCad file you will find the complete documentation of the house with the construction axes to avoid possible conflicts.
Thank you for the opportunity and I hope the project meets your expectations! For any question or doubt, do not hesitate to write me.
