**VERSIONE ITALIANA SOTTO AL TESTO IN INGLESE**

I would like to have some ideas for dividing the internal spaces (plus external veranda) of a chalet in the mountains to be built from scratch (there is a usable volume but to be completely demolished).

It will be used as the residence of a small dog kennel that will move to the mountains in the warmer months (typically from June to the end of August), the context is pure mountain with pastures and farms (sheep and goats) nearby. It's "Heidi's house", basically :)

TOTAL DEMOLITION AND RECONSTRUCTION "AT WILL"

There are no obligations whatsoever, if not to built it in such a way that it can be framed in that environmental context: there are no imposed measures, windows, doors, etc: so please don't ask me for a blueprint: it's the one I want to receive from you :) .

In the attached photos there are all the necessary information, as well as below. We can do it as we want, with only the limits and constraints mentioned below:

EXTERNAL VERANDA of 22 square meters (the RUC calls it "bioclimatic greenhouse" but it is a glazed veranda ...)

OPENINGS (windows, doors): at will

SPACES REQUIRED

- 3 double bedrooms (one with private bathroom, the other two with shared bathroom between them)
- 1 bathroom on the ground floor
- two storage rooms (to be used as a warehouse - boiler room, etc.)
- Stair ramp 100 cm wide, 18 cm raised step 30 cm tread
- "lockable" kitchen (not totally open space with dining room and non-lockable living room: we would like to be able to hide the mess inside the kitchen if we receive guests :) but with easy access to the veranda (therefore easy to "eat out" in summer)
- living room with fireplace (the heart of the house)
- if possible a "studio" (where to keep the computer corner, printer, and a small administration of the house / farm
- you can make two skylights on the ceiling, not the dormer window

ALTITUDE: 1332 m asl, Fiumalbo municipality (Modena)

ORIENTATION:

Long side looks west-northwest (see attached photos)

Three sides have a (beautiful) view, the other long side (the one facing east-southeast) has a forest 6 meters away so the house is "under the mountain". The wood is "supported" by a straight wall about 220cm high (see video at this address of the context):

STYLE: MOUNTAIN COTTAGE with external facing in stone and roof or in stone (slate) or in copper or in bituminous sheets (Canadian tile style: this latter solution is to be investigated for its landscape feasibility).

INTERIOR STYLE: mountain house (extensive use of wood, certainly of wooden beams, wood paneling, etc. We will probably ask Rubner to make it for us.

LIVEABILITY: despite being a mountain house, it should not be designed for occasional use (which would allow many rooms with few ancillary rooms) but for continuous use (not 12 months a year but at least 3) so the spaces must be those of a house where you live permanently, and not those of a cottage used for weekend or week-style short breaks.

CONTEXT: mountain area with pasture on 3 sides (beech forest on the back) characterized by sheep and goat farms, land owned by 15 thousand square meters all around the house. It must be the home of a dog kennel (seasonal: in the summer we will move the dogs to an adjacent structure near the house to be built). Given the presence of many green pastures and the surrounding Celtic huts (see the point below and the photos) the area looks more like a piece of Ireland or England than an Italian mountain.

IMPORTANT: LOCAL ARCHITECTURE: The area is characterized by the presence of the so-called "Celtic huts" (search for "fiumalbo capanne celtiche" on google for more details. Stone houses with a sloping roof in Celtic style. The "stepped" roof is their characteristic and we would like to propose it also on our home.

WARNING: do not consider the current building because it must be totally demolished. The building is totally new so asking for current plans or current heights makes no sense. The measures are those mentioned above. The plans are only from the new construction and this is the reason for this contest. If we are satisfied with the ideas, we might buy more services (rendering, etc).

Vorrei avere delle idee di suddivisione degli spazi interni (più veranda esterna) di uno chalet in montagna da costruire da zero (c'è un volume usabile ma da demolire completamente).

Verrà usato come residenza di un piccolo allevamento di cani che si trasferirà in montagna nei mesi più caldi (tipicamente da giugno a fine agosto), il contesto è montagna pura con pascoli e allevamenti (ovini e caprini) nelle vicinanze. E' "la casa di Heidi", praticamente :)

DEMOLIZIONE TOTALE E RICOSTRUZIONE "A PIACERE"

Non ci sono obblighi di sorta, se non realizzarla in modo che paesaggisticamente possa essere inquadrabile in quel contesto: non ci sono misure imposte, finestre, porte ecc: quindi per favore non chiedetemi una piantina: è quella che desidero ricevere io da voi :).

cucina "chiudibile" (non open space con dining room e salotto non chiudibile, ecco) ma di facile accesso alla veranda (quindi agevole per "mangiare fuori" d'estate)

se possibile uno "studio" (dove tenere l'angolo computer, stampante, e una amministrazione spicciola della casa/allevamento)
si possono fare due lucernari a soffitto, non l'abbaino

ALTITUDINE: 1332 mt Slm, comune Fiumalbo (Modena)

ORIENTAMENTO:

Lato lungo guarda ovest-nordovest (vedere foto allegate)

Tre lati hanno panorama, l'altro lato lungo (quello che guarda est-sudest) ha a 6 mt di distanza un bosco quindi la casa è "sotto monte". Il posco è "sorretto" da un muro a retta alto circa 220cm (vedere video a questo indirizzo del contesto)):

STILE: COTTAGE DI MONTAGNA con rivestimento esterno in pietra faccia vista e tetto o in pietra (ardesia) o in rame o in lastre bituminose (stile tegola canadese: questa soluzione è da indagare per la sua fattibilità paesaggistica).

STILE INTERNI: casa di montagna (estensivo uso di legno, sicuramente di travi in legno, rivestimenti in legno ecc. Probabilmente chiederemo a Rubner di realizzarcela.

VIVIVIBILITA': pur essendo una casa di montagna non va pensata per l'utilizzo saltuario (che permetterebbe molti locali con pochi locali accessori) ma per l'utilizzo continuativo (non 12 mesi all'anno ma 3.. si) quindi gli spazi devono essere quelli di una casa in cui si vive stabilmente, e non quelli di un cottage utilizzato per vacanze brevi stile weekend o settimane.

CONTESTO: zona di montagna con pascolo su 3 lati (bosco di faggi sul retro) caratterizzata da allevamenti ovini e caprini, terreno di proprietà di 15 mila metri quadri tutto circostante la casa. Dovrà essere la casa di un allevamento di cani (stagionale: d'estate sposteremo i cani in una struttura attigua vicina alla casa da costruire). Vista la presenza di tanti pascoli verdi e delle capanne celtiche circostanti (si veda il punto sotto e le foto) la zona sembra più un pezzo di Irlanda o di Inghilterra che di montagna italiana.

IMPORTANTE: ARCHITETTURA LOCALE: La zona è caratterizzata dalla presenza delle cosiddette "capanne celtiche" (si cerchi "capanna celtica fiumalbo" su google per maggiori dettagli. Case in pietra con tetto spiovente in stile celtico. Il tetto "a gradoni" è la loro caratteristica e vorremmo riproporlo anche sulla nostra casa.

AVVERTENZA: non considerare l'attuale fabbricato perché va totalmente demolito. La costruzione è totalmente nuova quindi chiedere piantine attuali o altezze attuali non ha senso. Le misure sono quelle sopra citate. Le piantine sono solo della nuova realizzazione ed è il motivo di questo contest.
