Apartment Unit Design Proposal
This apartment unit features two bedrooms and a dedicated home office, designed with a Bauhaus-inspired aesthetic that embraces bold colors while maintaining a cohesive and harmonious interior. The overall palette is carefully curated to ensure that vibrant hues stand out tastefully against a neutral backdrop, enhancing the modern yet timeless feel of the space.
For the architectural details, the doors and windows are predominantly white, providing a clean and streamlined appearance. However, to introduce subtle yet striking contrast, the home office door and the kitchen entrance door are accented in black, creating focal points that enhance the visual depth of the interiors.
Interior Layout Options
To cater to different lifestyle preferences, I have developed two distinct interior layout options:
Open-Concept Kitchen, Dining, and Living Area (option 1)
This option prioritizes spaciousness and fluidity, creating a seamless flow between the kitchen, dining, and living spaces.
It enhances natural light distribution, making the apartment feel more expansive and welcoming.
Ideal for those who enjoy entertaining, as it fosters social interaction and connectivity throughout the main living areas.
Enclosed Kitchen with Retained Existing Walls (option 2)
This design maintains the original kitchen enclosure, providing a more private and contained cooking space.
It helps minimize noise and cooking odors from spreading into the dining and living areas.
Best suited for residents who prefer a distinct separation between food preparation and common living spaces for a more traditional approach.
Each layout option offers unique benefits, and the final decision will depend on the client’s lifestyle, functionality preferences, and aesthetic vision. I look forward to discussing which option best aligns with your needs.
