Residential - Apartment
In this design I tried to fulfil all your requirements, but to make functional, fluid, airy and not cluttered space.
Proposition 1
Space is divided into entrance area, open space (day zone) with kitchen and lounge and more private area (night zone) with home office – study, bathroom and bedroom.
In the entrance hallway there is a wider area with 40cm niche with coat hanger bench and shoe cabinet with should be designed as one piece of custom-made furniture. After that I placed utility cabinet 60cm deep.
Open Space: First we approach kitchen area with kitchen island which can serve as dining table or normal dining table which van serve as kitchen island (difference is in height)
Lounge is oriented towards tv cabinet.
Study is behind glass blocks wall (a) or ribbed glass wall (b), both are good because they let through light but also ensure privacy.
Attached are some examples how this glass wall can look like.
In the study I suggest folding chair bed instead of classic single bed.
Bedroom is big enough with sufficient size closet.
Bathroom layout was somehow limited because of the window position but it has all the necessary sanitaryware and also niche with washing machine and space for towels and utilities.
Proposition 2
In this solution study is a space in front of the bedroom and bathroom behind glass wall towards living room.
There is less privacy in the study but open space is wider, kitchen is bigger and the concept is “cleaner”.
Bed can be wall mounted single bed which can be opened and used occasionally.
***Very important for the success of this design is a custom made and designed furniture: entryway niche, utility cabinet, kitchen, kitchen island, study furniture, closet in the bedroom, washing machine niche in the bathroom.
