Residential - Apartment
Dear Client,
The re-planning of this small apartment located in Italy has been carried out in line with the client’s requirements, with a focus on maximizing the spatial potential of the existing layout. At the entrance, a shoe cabinet and a compact seating unit have been designed to facilitate ease of use while putting on shoes, creating a functional and welcoming entry space.
The living area, positioned beyond the entrance, has been planned as an integrated space incorporating an island kitchen and a seating area. Thanks to the placement of the island kitchen, a strong spatial connection has been established between the kitchen, living area, and television zone. The arrangement of the cooktop, sink, dishwasher, and refrigerator forms an efficient working triangle, ensuring optimal ergonomics and ease of movement within the kitchen.
A small hallway connected to the living area has been designed to provide a privacy buffer for the bedrooms and the bathroom. Within the bathroom, a 40x40 shaft opening has been introduced, and the washing machine has been integrated into the bathroom space to enhance functionality.
The adjacent small bedroom has been planned in accordance with the client’s request, serving both as a sleeping area and a workspace. Due to the minimal scale of the room, a foldable bed has been utilized, allowing the space to remain open and flexible outside of sleeping hours. This solution provides both efficient storage and ergonomic benefits.
In conclusion, this apartment has been designed as a warm and livable home that brings together ergonomics, minimalism, and modern design principles. Section drawings and visual materials are provided to further illustrate the design approach. Thank you for your interest.
