The apartment was designed following your preference to place the master bedroom in the south side of the house and the guest bedroom on the north, as far away from the elevator as possible.
The kitchen is placed together with dining and sitting area, creating a large and open living area. The sink is placed in the north as near as possible to the pipeline, approximately 4 meters from the existing pipeline. Allowing the slope to be made.
The kitchen was designed with an island that with low stool that could also be used as a breakfast table while providing a large working space.
The common bathroom is located in the original position as the existing service bathroom, but now more spacious. The other bathroom is located in the master bedroom, as an en-suite. A walk-in closet was also made in the master bedroom allowing a large amount of clothes to be stored.
Coats and outerwear could be stored in the spacious closet in the entrance hallway. A small storage for shoes is also made near the entrance.
By arranging the rooms in this way, a storage zone is created near the elevator, that would also function as a noise buffer for the living area and bedrooms.
A laundry and pantry (food storage) were placed in the original position of the kitchen. By lowering the ceiling in this spaces, a mezzanine could be created above them, 8.5 square meter with 6.9 cubic meter storage space.
Depending on your preference, the mezzanine could be accessed via hallway for maximum storage capacity, or a pull down stairs could be placed in the pantry for ease of access.
The color palette of the interior is light shade with grey, marble and striped tiles as accents, all with neutral muted color. In that way you could decorate the space with different color according the the season or if you want a change of mood.
