We aim upon transforming Room 109 into a cozy, comfortable retreat without compromising the hotel's cultural identity, traditional elements, or overall atmosphere.
The design concept consists of two proposals. The first one retains the original layout of the room, introducing only minimal and light construction elements to subtly enhance the existing structure and highlight key features. The second proposal focuses on simplifying the room’s geometry with minimal construction intervention, creating a cleaner, more refined spatial experience.
Upon entry a small foyer equipped with racks and entry closet / hangers, from there you can either access the bathroom on the right or continue forward into the main room. The room itself is thoughtfully divided visually into two main compartments, The first compartment includes a closet, a small minibar, and a coffee corner, creating a functional transition area. After, the next compartment forms the main living area, featuring a king-size bed, a TV unit, a desk with a chair, and a built-in chaise lounge integrated into the wall.
Behind the chaise lounge is a smart, self-dimming glass panel. As the bathroom lacks direct natural light, this feature allows daylight to filter through when desired or be dimmed for privacy. This adds both functionality and a touch of modern sophistication to the space.
