Description

The project regards three structures: the main house, the studio over garage and the loft.
In accordance with the client requests, the project is focused on the refurnish of the main rooms excluding bathrooms. Basically the idea is to integrate the studio in the open space leaving it as it is. How can this may be done? Demolishing the wall between the dining room and the studio and creating a movable dividing wall that would be a swivel bookcase. This helps you to increase daylight in the den room. So coming up from downstairs and looking at the front through the den room, you will have a suggestive direct contact with outside nature.
Then the idea is also to work on the fireplace. Right now the fireplace is located in the middle of the room dividing the living room and the dining room. The proposal is to leave the fireplace as it is, just raising up a few centimetres. In front of the fireplace a basement is placed in order to allow a direct view from the living room to the outside through the fireplace window as well as avoiding the vision of the dining room.
The hallway door has been moved to the kitchen area thus to avoid a direct communication with the night area (see Demolition Plan).
The loft space has been refurnished by introducing a trundle bed as required. The studio over garage has been rearranged by creating a studio area and a relaxing area with tv space and hobbies.
Hollywood regency style has been implemented as requested by the client.
