The main aim
of this design proposal was to create a serene bedroom space which
can also be used as a study. The colour scheme includes light blue walls,
anthracite, a touch of white and yellow. Loads
of storage space is provided through the full-height wardrobes (two of width
1.5m each, as requested by the client). In addition to the wardrobes, more
storage space is provided at the ‘desk’ area. A balance of cupboards and open
shelving allows the user to personalize the environment and adds character to a
room. The stairs next to the beds can also be utilized through drawers. One of the
main features of this bedroom design is the hidden desk. One can roll out the
desk during the day and store it underneath the bed during the night. This
concept provides enough space for a large desk which can be stowed away when
not needed.
