Description

The main design idea was to create open space where 4 member family can spend time comfortably but also have guests over with enough space to sit everyone. Noticing the clients inspiration photos, the style which they prefer is modern, yet comfortable and cosy, really homey, so the design followed their preferences.
Concept came from analysing the space, main goal was to create clear passage to loggia doors, which would subtly divide dinning area, from living room.
After this division, became clear that southern part of the room, because of TV installations would become living room. Position of TV is sligthly moved from east wall to south wall, so the sofas can be arranged in the way so everyone can see loggia, and sun doesn't directly hit the tv. Living room is furnished with big comfortable couch for 3 people, and also 2 sofas. Next to sofas are standing lamps which would provide light for reading.
Dinning room is equipped with big table, which can be expanded to up to 10 people.
Clients already had piece of furniture which they wanted to keep, so it is incorporated in new design.

As clients mentioned closet can be separated in parts, so it is separated in 3 parts. One standing part remained in living room as a possible book shelf, long part is put above the ground 30cm and it is TV shelf, and the remaining part is in dinning room and serves as cupboard.
This piece of furniture also dictated the collor pallete of the whole room, because it is dark wood with white wood, design kept bright, warm, natural colors, with lots of white color, which would make the space look bigger, and more opened, warm and inviting.
It also allows clients to add personal details, and easily change the space, by adding details such as pillows, tablecloths, photos in any collor pallete.
Considering that clients mentioned that they like IKEA furniture, whole room is equipped in ikea, which certainly helps with a budget, and allows clients to add personality to the space.
I also recommend putting some shelves on the wall, really light, in bright wood colors, or white, as suggested on second poster.

I hope clients like the design, and I wish them all the best moving in their new apartment.
