Layout Overview
​This plan effectively reconfigures the apartment to meet your needs, moving the living area to a new open-plan space with the kitchen, and dedicating the quieter, rear areas for a new master suite and second bedroom. A key focus was maximizing every square meter while maintaining a cohesive, minimal aesthetic throughout.
​Detailed Design Solutions
​1. Living and Kitchen (Open Plan)
​Acoustic Glass Partition: This minimal solution physically separates the kitchen from the living area without creating a visual barrier, maximizing the reach of natural light.
​Media Wall: A large, dedicated TV wall accommodates up to an 85-inch screen and conceals all wiring.
​Peninsula and Tall Units: The kitchen layout includes built-in tall units for the oven and American-style fridge and a practical peninsula for food prep and casual dining. The sliding glass door provides easy, space-saving access to the balcony.
​2. Second Bedroom & Walk-in Wardrobe
​This room is located in the original master bedroom location and is sized for a double bed.
​Connectivity: It includes a direct entrance to a new walk-in wardrobe (labeled "W.I.W."), which acts as a private passage connecting the second bedroom to the new Master Suite.
​3. Master Suite & En-suite
​This new suite is positioned for privacy, using the original living space.
​New En-suite (Shower/WC): We successfully added a "small, private bathroom (no bidet)" by placing it "back-to-back" with the main bathroom, aligning with existing plumbing lines.
​Master Walk-in: Full-height flush-fitted wardrobe units run along the corridor wall within the suite.
​4. Optimized Technical Spaces: Bathroom & Laundry
​Main Bathroom: We reduced the size to enlarge the adjacent living area, replacing the bathtub with a spacious 160cm shower and including a small bidet.
​Dedicated Laundry Closet: We utilized the corner space near Bedroom 1 to create a floor-to-ceiling dedicated laundry closet (labeled "W/D"). Given the space constraints, a stacked washing machine and tumble dryer configuration is the most efficient and practical solution, integrated seamlessly with the overall cabinetry design.
