Description

Via dei Monti Tiburtini

Modern Apartment
The project, as required , provides a large living area with open kitchen, the expansion of the second bedroom and the addition of a second bathroom in the master bedroom .
The concept that has inspired us to design this apartment is a famous painting by Piet Mondriaan (which appears as a logo in the works)
Since the client wanted a modern style, we decided to use primary colors to highlight different areas of the house . Simply brushing the windows and doors we are able to obtain a strong character, pleasant and unique .
Living Area : yellow , Sleeping area : blue, bathrooms: red
The project is also designed to avoid major works (which always lead to increase costs), therefore it was decided to simply move or demolish the non-load bearing walls and to maintain the position of the existing bathroom.
For the floor we chose a parquet oak strips to run that will be placed throughout the apartment except for the bathrooms where we chose two types of mosaics. For the main bathroom in shades of green and for the bathroom of the master berdroom gray / blue .
We decided to reduce the length of the corridor in order to create a walk-in closet for the master bedroom . For the bathroom, which has no windows, there is a glass on the upper part of the wall which allow the indirect entry of natural light from the window of the room.
As for the decor of the apartment we suggest to alternate a few pieces of modern design (A. Jacobsen , Le Corbusier , A. Castiglioni) to standard elements of the Ikea catalogue . Obviously there are personal choices that do not affect the realization of this project.
