ABBA 3 has been an inspiring and rewarding project, despite the challenges posed by constraints like the plumbing column and existing window placements. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the client for offering us the opportunity to be part of this remarkable competition.
Embracing the core idea of optimizing and redistributing the space, the floor layout was designed to streamline circulation by minimizing passages and corridors, instead connecting spaces through a central aisle. The main bedroom has been expanded to comfortably accommodate a double bed, a wardrobe, and a study desk within the same space. The bathroom has been enlarged by 30%, now featuring a toilet, bidet, a spacious shower area, and a washbasin with a vanity.
The kitchenette has been strategically relocated near the main entrance, positioned to face the dining table for seamless functionality. Additionally, the washing machine has been integrated near the kitchenette, with plumbing services concealed through a false wall for added convenience.
A soothing palette of neutral earth tones has been chosen to create a relaxed ambiance, complemented by wood accents that add warmth and contrast. Lighting enhancements include new fixtures integrated into false ceilings, not only concealing power lines but also ensuring optimal illumination throughout the space.
