Hello dear client,
The idea behind the design was to create a similar atmosphere as your first shop and at the same time introduce a bit more minimalistic approach because of the reduced size of this space.
The space itself as well as your wishes influenced most of the design decisions:
-firstly there was a very small size of the space which dictated light surfaces both on walls and floor. Those are supposed to provide an illusion of a larger space in general
-Most of the furniture is made from reused (or new if you'd like) food crates that are supposed to cut the expenses and at the same time connect the shop to the nearby market and create that poetic atmosphere
-Most of the storage space is placed either in the shelves themselves (including centerpiece) and in the overhead compartments that make use of the fairly large height of the space
-The ceiling finish is made in dark wood so it would appear shorter and create visually more satisfying proportions
-Finally, the lemon trees outside as well as Ficus in the storefront are meant to provide color contrast to the rest of the street and shop and attract attention of the people.
I hope my proposal respects your wishes and fulfills all the expectations.
