Description

CONCEPT:
The most challenging tasks to solve in this project :
1- The relatively small space for displaying and 2- The fact that it has to catch the pedestrians's eyes in the shortest time as their waking by.
There are two ways to catch the attention as one walking by a store: 1- By eye catching decors behind the windows 2- By clearing the sight to the shop from outside. In very small stores the second solution is advised but in this case the interior decor must offer an interesting design.
The proposed drawings is focused on the 1- Best use of space to display but with comfortable circulation path which can result in fitting more buyers at the same time and 2- Considering the poetic and interesting story for the interior decor.
As the client requested the atmosphere has to be related to to the name of the store which considers the fruits and freshness and it requires poetic and unconventional design story.
Due to, after analyzing various methodologies. I decided to use abstract forms of nature's element + natural indoor plants to create the atmosphere.
As it can be seen in the renderings the shelves at the entrance and at the end of the store on both side walls forms different abstract forms of a tree.
In this scenario the shape of the opening in the middle of the load bearing wall which is projected on the walls on the left and right side of it, is also translated as hills.
The curvature in the roof intents to create the feeling of lightness of the sky.
and the line of the shelves on each sides shows the layers of hills in different height as in nature and abstract drawings.
the Front wall from entrance is a big show case with a curvature at the top and the mirror in the middle which gives depth and flow to the overall design.
The lemon tree printed on the wall paper as well as the bright yellow and the green paint on the walls captures the essence of the actual store and "bags and fruits" brand and brings a freshness to the space and creates a pleasant atmosphere for the customers visiting the store.
The combination of these colors is strong thus it is very from the street and makes an statement that this is a well established store.

SPACE DIVISION:
The store is divided into two parts of customer area and the so called staff area.
As mentioned above, the customer area has very comfortable circulation path for such space! 74 cm wide paths on each side of the middle showcase and 169 cm in turning areas as the most traffic will be there in rush hours.
The desk in staff area has sufficient surface area to place machines and tools for cashier and customizing the wallets. Thus specially in rush hours , works can be done quicker and more organised.

COST:

As requested by the client, it has been tried to reduce the costs of renovation, Hence for the most parts the wooden crate with internal dimension of W/L/H 20*30*10 is used. and the for the other areas the same quality wood can be purchased.
