We love to find a balance between timeless and eclectic design. Our artistic passions include vintage styles, French Country, English cottages, and a hint of Art Nouveau flair. We are big fans of geometric tile work that is timeless and not necessarily trendy. Our home is a custom built home from the 1980’s that has not been updated – there is a LOT of honey oak. The craftsmanship is exceptional, and we would like to do our best to retain the quality of work, while remodeling to our tastes.
For this bathroom, our dream would be to have very bright yet warm, and peaceful space including a large soaker tub, a stone floor walk in shower with tile walls, and a double vanity while preserving as much closet space as possible. We are having trouble finding a way to make this all fit without losing sufficient closet space. Which is why we are reaching out to the experts.
Within the floor plan, the dotted line behind the vanity shows a wall that could be knocked out. Also, the wall that separates the closet from the bathroom area can be removed. There is a skylight above where the shower is currently (pictured), and we would like to add an additional window to the space. The back (furthest from the entrance) wall of the closet/bathroom is an exterior wall. We would also prefer to keep the toilet where it is currently *UPDATE – and have the toilet within it’s own enclosed area* located if possible. *UPDATE 2: Ceilings are 8ft tall”
Just about everything else is open to change.
