Project Concept – London 65 m² Apartment
This project presents two alternative layouts developed to meet the client’s request for both functionality and spatial flexibility. Each design combines elegance and practicality within a Soho House–inspired atmosphere defined by warm tones, brass details, and layered lighting.
The first proposal maintains the existing walls while improving usability and storage. Glass sliding doors separate the kitchen, living room, and hallway, enhancing acoustic comfort and visual continuity. A new built-in wardrobe was added in the entrance area, transforming an unused corner into a functional storage solution.
The second proposal reconfigures the layout to optimize circulation and flexibility. The kitchen is relocated near the entrance, opening space for a larger living area where the former kitchen was located. Sliding or folding glass doors connect the kitchen, living, and study, allowing smooth transitions between open-plan living and private guest setups. The study features a fold-away wall bed, transforming it into a comfortable guest room when needed.
The bathroom has been enlarged toward the entrance to include a dedicated storage zone. Custom shelving and concealed niches behind the toilet provide additional space for towels and personal items, keeping the design clean and elegant. Finishes follow an Art Deco aesthetic with marble surfaces, brass fixtures, and fluted details, creating a refined yet functional atmosphere.
Overall, both layouts balance warmth, flexibility, and sophistication, offering adaptable solutions for daily living, entertaining, and guest accommodation within a compact urban home.
