Concept
I had two big issues to solve when I begin to think about this project.
1. First is that every home should have see view. This is very important thing among tourist and also important for house owners to have complete feeling of Mediterranean. This was achieved through houses layout. Specifically, houses are arranged in such manner that they form ‘V’ letter and every terrace have its see view.
2. Second thing was privacy issue because we do not want all houses to have fences surrounding them. We have two groupings of houses divided by parking lot.
- On the bottom grouping (6 houses nearer the sea) houses are turned inward to inner courtyard with their bigger openings and terrace. So that courtyard has its intimacy and close neighborhood feeling. In the middle there is pedestrian path - promenade. Covering of this path would be combination of ground with various plants and paving. Every house is raised for 50cm from the ground, so it has steps on two sides. On this side are the bigger once because it was meant to be main entrance and from the outside of this grouping – second entrance not too wide with small fence between houses. Fences on the beginning and ending of pedestrian also enable privacy.
- Top grouping with 4 houses has similar layout but with difference that 2 houses are merged and in center is swimming pool. Also, I have solution without swimming pool (first concept photo). From the pool and terrace beside it we also have sea view. Houses are mirrored across middle line – pedestrian path, and with this we have symmetricity. With swimming pool and terrace we break this symmetricity (swimming pool is not in the middle).
I used drawings that best represent my concept, maybe they do not all match ones you requested but there are the once that I thought that would be more needed. House is very simple so except axonometric section I proposed 3d design of this home in exterior renderings and also 2 renderings from inside.
