housing - small-apt
After carefully evaluating the needs of the hotel on the project, we decided to opt for small changes with big impact.
We consider carefully before start designing, the budget and the time factor, considering the inconvenience that would cause unnecessary demolition work to your guests. We believe that details make the difference in a design project, that is why thinking about it is a 5 stars hotel in one of the most sought provinces for tourism in South Korea, we balanced the selection of furnishings and finishes adjusting to client expectations, and at the project level. Here is a selection of pieces of design and mass production that we have carefully selected for you, and we believe they can achieve place the Hotel Maremons among the most exclusive of Gangwon-do.
Walking over the water concept (The Lobby)
Having such a large space was necessary to create a visual dynamism through the choice of elements that make guests feel at impressed when entering in the lobby and so has the better first impression of the hotel welcoming.
The custom-made lamp attracts the attention of visitors at first sight upon entering, directing his gaze to the ceiling of eight hundred stars hanging LED light with adjustable intensity.
And that given the structure of the building is not possible a larger scale reform, we decided to create a unique waiting area, where guests must walk over the water through a path of steps, to get to the central area, where they can relax with the sound of water and the views of the plants and koi fishes swimming around. Space is not only aimed to a waiting area, since moving the functional modular sofa to another area, you can use the central platform to locate a souvenirs stand, or even the Christmas tree during the holidays.
Pond construction involves no major reforms or discomfort and has just the depth necessary (60 centemeters) for the maintenance of plants and fish. The offices areas and other rooms remain the same, except by the re-location of some doors.
Two mural walls marble tiled with modern design, modified from an old Asian traditional pattern preside the upper lobby. We removed the wood paneling and replaced the railings by a glass ones, thereby obtaining a contemporary style.
The new triple door adds elegance and exclusivity to the entrance access. In the new business center the glass wall "Privalite" allows the necessary privacy turning on or off the overshadowed glass when so required.
A chill out area (The coffee shop)
For the coffee shop we chosen a simple and relaxing thematic, ideal for a pleasant breakfast or brunch of your guests.
A vegetal wall with stainless steel metal letters and lights incorporated, with the words "Maremons Cafe", welcomes the guests at the entrance, where also is placed the billing/checking area, all this under a special wood custom made wood panel designed by our interior design studio.
The new location of the furnitures, allows a better use of the space, with living areas along the corridor, where guest can relax having a coffe or reading the newspaper. At the end of the corridor, a wood designed large table serves as buffeet area, among the area of tables and high chairs for two persons, and the open kitchen/bar, where a cake refrigerator display is located showing the delicatessen. Inside the kitchen, all the equipment needed for cooking, baking or service have been located.
Imperial palace inspiration (The Korean restaurant)
Inspired by the beautiful ancient korean palaces, this restaurant is an elegant area where your guests will feel they are in the most exclusive atmosphere. Enabled for 130 dinner guests, the reception welcomes the visitor when entering, giving way to a long corridor of tables for two, and a large capitone banquette over which is placed the exquisite hand painted wallpaper by the casa De Gournay "Imperial Palace". The tables and chairs in this area have dual use, so you can join them when needed to seat a large group of people.
Beyong, a dome with wood carved panels with gold finished and light fixtures made of "Lumicor", are suspended over the open area of tables, and this left two small side tables next to a sofa capitone as waiting and cocktails area.
Since it was a must have, the buffet bar we designed has a dual function. With double height suitable for eleven highchairs, has compartments where the chairs can be stored when used as a buffet bar, and put back when used as cocktails bar.
Another waiting area with two armchairs and a side table is located front of the entrance to the private dining room, which it is accessed through a sliding oval door in Asian style. Inside a beautiful wallpaper of the casa Gournay (Plum Blossom) decorates the room, plus an elegant mirrored venetian dining furniture. Two exclusive vases of fine porcelain from the casa Lladró and glass chandelier complete the decoration.
Guests will now have to request appointment for the restaurant of which we are sure will have a permanent occupation of one hundred percent, and will be included in design publications.
