Re-imagining the Wedding Pavilion within the grounds of a medieval castle

Wedding; one of the most important events/ moments in one’s life. A moment of expression and declaration of unquestionable affection for one another.

A moment of love, contentment and eternal union.

Unio is the proposal for a contextual marriage of place, history and love. The project aims to become an extension of the castle through a series of inter- connected pavilions, of modular design, that reach out and respond to the surrounding valleys and cities of Assisi and Perugia.

This becomes possible by the organic shape of the pavilions that wrap around the castle, just like the surrounding terrain does, and secondly through the orientating the open-sided hexagonal modules, that reach towards infinity, towards these axes and places of cultural and historical importance.
