The project has been developed with the aim of better including the site in the surrounding urban context, focusing on changing the passive space generated only by streets passing nearby making the area becoming the main hub of the district with a specific personality and reason why.
The base structure is thought following the urban elements (ex. streets, buildings, traffic direction) in a way that creates an harmonic view inviting pedestrians to enter the site. The building vertically develops disrupting the entire panorama with a 360° explosion, expressing the creativity and the artists' inspiration coming at any time from any direction.
The residence is a three-floor building designed to welcome artists during the day with the possibility to stay for the night. The main branch of the three at the ground floor allows guests to rich the reception, while bar, restaurant and relax/networking area is accessible from the other two branches: the entire floor has been designed to become the place where guests can meet, perform and share any kind of cultural/artistic experience. The two open spaces can be adapted for different sets at convenience.
The meeting point of the three ramifications is crucial: a staircase climbing up a concrete wall till the third floor starts here, just in front of the elevator.
Each of the three floors have a different orientation with respect to the building's body. Services are organized as follows:
First floor: 7 single bedrooms, 3 single bedrooms with private toilet, 1 double bedroom, 2 triple bedrooms with private toilet, shared toilets with showers, utility rooms;
Second floor: 4 single bedrooms, 2 single bedrooms with private toilet, 1 double bedroom, 1 double bedroom with private toilet, 1 triple bedroom, 3 triple bedrooms with private toilet, shared toilets with showers, utility rooms;
Third floor: 6 single bedrooms, 1 single bedroom with private toilet, 1 double bedroom, 3 double bedrooms with private toilet, shared toilets with showers, utility room.

The residence can welcome 55 people at the same time overall.
The building has been projected entirely in concrete to transmit compactness and to respect the architecture and mood of the city. The wide glass walls/windows interrupt the stiffness giving the idea of an artistic open-minded vision; glass openings give pedestrians the immediate feeling to be part of an artistic thinking that goes in every direction. The internal settings are mainly made of wood with wall-to-wall parquet and wooden ceiling to recall Nordic cozy style.

The area surrounding the residence considers different textures:
grass and water occupy the main portion to create a comfortable environment and grant a close contact with the nature;
concrete is used in correspondence to the three entries of the ground floor to communicate continuity with the structure;
gravel is the decoration item and makes the other external elements communicating.
