The proposal intends to fullfill the client´s requirements, making the most of existing walls and plumbing while creating an open and free space for main activities. According to the client´s suggestion, the proposed location for the bathroom is the former kitchen.
The proposal includes a dressing room contiguous to the bathroom, creating a private space for this purpose while avoiding the demolition of the major part of existing walls.
Taking into consideration that the destination of the property is short term rentals, the intention was to minimize the presence of depreciable furniture. As a consequence, and having included an island in the kitchen, it is proposed that it functions as a dinning table as well.
The sleeping area lies on the back of the apartment, leaving the best illuminated spaces for leisure, cooking, dinning or working. The sleeping area obtains privacy out of a light, wooden room divider on one side and a TV stand on the front, allowing the TV to be rotated and be used from both spaces.
The proposal includes wall hangers and a bench in the entrance hall, adding comfort and making use of each spot.
A carefull selection of materials was carried out by choosing noble but fresh options, such as wood, metal and granite.
