Renovation
The major task is the creation of two bedrooms: 1 double bedroom and 1 single one/studio.
1. TRADITIONAL
-> LOW BUDGET
The major choice of this solution is LOW BUDGET.
Night area
The project started from here.
Master bedroom.
An hotel organized room. The room is composed by:
- a big area for the king size bed;
- a closet area for a spacious wardrobe;
- a desk for working/make up;
- TV on the wall.
Single bedroom.
A rational bedroom well lighted.
Big storage.
Entrance/Corridor
In the corridor near the single bedroom entrance I suggest to create a wall in library, like IKEA’s Billy.
Day area
In the day area studied as an open space I divided this big room in three distinctive corners:
- kitchen;
- living/sitting room;
- dining room.
The kitchen: a corner one, easy to clean easy to use kitchen. A curious 120 cm high separè divides more over this area. I use it as a wall to put TV.
The living room: a big sofa with poufs/coffee tables.
I put the dining corner in the corner full of windows and direct lights: a great place to eat and to read, to use the table. A round one to avoid problems in the open space.
Direct natural light
Here in evidence the light paths.
It's very important to have the rooms lightened by natural light.
2. NO RULES
-> OPTIMIZATION
The major choice of this solution is SPACE OPTIMIZATION.
Night area
The project started again from here. I choose to create a suite-like master bedroom, with its private shower (eventually a bathroom). An hotel organized room. The room is composed by:
- a big area for the king size bed;
- a line for a spacious wardrobe;
- a shower area. Through a curtain system you can hide or not this bathroom rectangle, all made of glass walls.
Single bedroom.
A rectangular spacious bedroom well lighted.
Big storage and desk corner.
Entrance/Corridor
Here is the major difference: large storage space. From the entrance you have straight on a wardrobe area, in the little space close to the door a big armoire that hide a laundry corner (washing machine and drier). In the corridor that separate night/day areas.
Day area
As you enter the apartment you will be in the day area .
The kitchen: a line, fully easy to clean easy to use kitchen.
The living room: a big sofa next to the wall receives direct natural light from the big window next to it. TV in furniture that continues from the kitchen.
The dining area: a practical bench and a rectangular table always to better use the space, opening it up towards the window and the natural light.
