I proposed four alternative layout designs. All designs have open kitchen layout design concept for integrating living and kitchen. In the alternative 1, 2 and 3 designs, I make small entrance separated from living room. I didn’t change the heater position in the entrance. In the alternative 1 design, I proposed smaller bedroom and changed bathroom next to the bedroom. I also proposed floor to ceiling mirror next to dining table to make the room looks bigger. There is storage space and desk along the right side wall. For the design concept, I made as simple as possible since it is an Air bnb, the interior style can be cusomized to the needs of the tenant or owners. I tried to mix the wood material texture with greyish brick tiles for kitchen backflash, white wall paint, grey wall paint and dark grey metal and glass.
In the alternative 2, I changed the bedroom and living room position. The bedroom position is next to the entrance. The bathroom position is between the bedroom and living room. Besides (d) and (e) closets, there are also addition lockable storage/cabinet above the sofa to store owner `s things or Airbnb manager’s things.
Alternative 3 is similar with alternative 2 design. The difference is the position of the sofa which the alternative 3 design sofa position is near the desk. The other difference is the color scheme (look at the render view). The alternative 3 design has grey color wall paint while alternative 2 design has white colow wall paint. Render view of alternative 3 is night scene while others are day scene.
Alternative 4 design has similarity with existing plan yet I changed the kitchen position and I added laundry/ cleaning storage room and lockable storage. The double bedroom size is bigger than other alternative designs.
