CONCEPT
THE IDEA IS TO MAKE USE OF A TINY SPACE GAINING HEIGHT, SO THE BED IS BEING ELEVATED AND PLACED AT THE HIGHEST POINT OF THE ROOM, SO IT CAN BE EASILY ACCESSED THROUGH A STAIRCASE WHICH IN THE SAME TIME ARE THE SHELVING UNITS. EACH STEP IS AROUND 40CM HIGH WHICH PUTS THE BED ON A 160CM HEIGHT FROM THE FLOOR. THIS ALLOWS THE CREATION OF THE WARDROBE/STORAGE UNIT UNDER THE BED WHICH IS 60CM DEEP AND ALLOWS NORMAL DOOR OPENING WITHOUT OBSTRUCTING THE FREE SPACE.
THE FIRST STEP IS A DRAWER THAT GOES ALL THE WAY TO THE OPPOSITE WALL AND GIVES A LOT OF SPACE FOR STORAGE (SHEETS, BLANKETS, ETC.)
THE BED SIZE IS 200X105CM, AS REQUESTED. ABOVE THE BED THERE IS A SHELF ON THE WALL, IDEAL FOR A BOOKS, LAMP, MOBILE PHONE, ETC.
ON THE LEFT WALL FROM THE ENTRANCE THERE IS A FOLDING TABLE, INTEGRATED IN A WOODEN WALL COVERING, THAT CAN BE USED ON REQUEST, AND FOLDED (INTEGRATED WITH THE WALL COVERING) WHILE NOT IN USE, PROVIDING MORE FREE SPACE.
IN A ROOM’S POCKET LIES A 2 SEATER SOFA (160CM), IDEAL FOR RELAXING. THE BED STRUCTURE IS MADE OF SOLID WOOD OR MDF BOARDS.
ALL THE BEAMS AND THE TERRACOTTA VAULTS CEILING ARE PAINTED IN WHITE DISPERSIVE PAINT, TO RELIEVE THE SPACE AND MAKE IT MORE LIGHT. THE HIGHEST WALL IS PAINTED IN DARK GREY TO GIVE CONTRAST.
THE REST OF THE WALLS ARE PAINTED IN WHITE.
THERE ARE TWO SPEAKERS PLACED HIGH IN THE CORNERS THAT GIVE A NICE DISTRIBUTED SOUND TO ENTIRE ROOM.
