Hi, this was very interesting project.
In this option without changing the bathroom and kitchen i have tried to create the living spaces. First the brief you gave it made clear love for the view. Hence, creating a visual axis when you enter the apartment was first step. It gives you direct undisturbed view of the ocean. Spaces are arranged on either side. Bedroom is kept purposefully near the balcony so you can enjoy the view of the ocean from bed. Between bed and bathroom living/dining/guest bed is provided. Changing the balcony door and dividing it into door and bedroom window. Having visual axis helps in ventilation and light to apartment directly.
Keeping old kitchen at same place and creating functional wall helped to create space for wardrobe, movable desk, reading corner and overhead storage space.
Living is sofa bed that can be converted into guest bed. Work station is positioned in front of sofa bed. With movable bench and table . hence can be work as workstation and dining table with simple move. This table, bench and sofa are commercial designs available on ikea also.
With bedroom design need was to create privacy when needed. To keep the fresh look opted for poly-carbonate folding panels as partition to get light into apartment. You can open the wall and close when needed. Back wall of bed is storage below and poly-carbonate partition.
