Il contest è stato sviluppato andando a proporre due soluzioni che nascono dall’idea di avere ambienti collegati tra di loro in modo più funzionale oltre che nel rispetto degli obiettivi indicati dalla committenza; questo è stato possibile tramite una redistribuzione degli spazi dove come partenza si è tenuto di conto della fruibilità e dell’abitabilità di tali ambienti oltre al fatto di adottare una certa simmetria riscontrabile negli accessi e nella collocazione degli arredi. In entrambi i casi l’area giorno e notte restano rispettivamente nelle loro originari zone se pur con notevoli cambiamenti nel rispetto degli aspetti impiantistici e tecnici. Naturalmente aspetti distributivi e/o funzionali di una delle soluzioni possono trovare spazio nell’altra e viceversa. Le differenze più sostanziali riguardano per la zona giorno la cucina che pur essendo sempre di notevoli dimensioni con possibilità di ospitare una seconda lavatrice, essa può essere chiusa all’occorrenza tramite scorrevoli in modo da renderla più indipendente dalla sala da pranzo e quindi dal resto dell’area living; lo studio anch’esso con la possibilità, tramite scorrevoli, di fungere da ambiente più separato e indipendente dal salone; e infine il salone che tramite un totem centrale offre una leggera separazione degli ambienti ma che comunque restano in stile open space; inoltre sono stati ricavati locali come un comodo guardaroba all’ingresso e un locale ripostiglio/lavanderia, il tutto con accesso a scomparsa tramite comode armadiature appositamente collocate che seguono il perimetro dell’ingresso. Mentre nella sol.1 si è pensato all’inserimento di un nuovo e comodo locale lavanderia con possibilità di scarico e carico lavatrice e pilozzo tramite un sistema a pressione; nella sol.2 tale ambiente di dimensioni più ridotte è un comodo ripostiglio mentre la lavatrice trova spazio, sempre con sistema a scomparsa, nell’antibagno. Per la zona notte si è pensato oltre che ad una funzionalizzazione degli ambienti ad un ridimensionamento delle camere che ora ospitano molti più armadi e cabine armadio sfruttabili a tutta altezza; inoltre la camera padronale sempre con bagno privato in una soluzione si presenta in versione più moderna con lavandini e doccia a semi-vista, mentre nell’altra in versione sempre moderna ma più tradizionale con due scorrevoli alla testata del letto che danno accesso rispettivamente uno al bagno e l’altro alla cabina armadio. Per dare movimento e quindi una leggera dinamicità a questi grandi ambienti si è pensato ad una serie di controsoffittature che, come riscontabile nelle planimetrie, hanno differenti altezze e posso avere la funzione di accogliere sistemi di illuminazione ad incasso oltre a barre led perimetrali per un’illuminazione più diffusa e confortevole.
Per quanto riguarda il bilocale al piano terra, date le ridotte dimensioni e la scadente accessibilità degli ambienti si è pensato ad una funzionalizzazione dei locali andando a trovare una soluzione più comoda e luminosa per l’area giorno e proponendo una redistribuzione con disimpegno/antibagno, con possibilità di ospitare anche armadiature a scomparsa, per l’accesso diretto tra soggiorno e bagno. Inoltre tramite un sistema di tendaggio scorrevole anche il divano può trasformarsi in letto e offrire la possibilità di un secondo letto indipendente dalla cucina.

The contest was developed by proposing two solutions that arise from the idea of having environments connected to each other in a more functional way as well as in compliance with the objectives indicated by the client; this was possible through a redistribution of the spaces where the usability and habitability of these environments were taken into account as a starting point, as well as adopting a certain symmetry found in the accesses and in the location of the furnishings. In both cases, the day and night areas remain respectively in their original areas, albeit with significant changes in respect of the plant and technical aspects. Of course, distributive and/or functional aspects of one of the solutions can find space in the other and vice versa. The most substantial differences concern the living area with the kitchen which, although still of considerable size with the possibility of hosting a second washing machine, can be closed if necessary by means of sliding doors in order to make it more independent from the dining room and therefore from the rest of the 'living area; the study also with the possibility, through sliding doors, to act as a more separate and independent environment from the living room; and finally the living room which through a central totem offers a slight separation of the rooms but which still remain in an open space style; in addition, rooms have been created such as a convenient wardrobe at the entrance and a storage/laundry room, all with concealed access through convenient wardrobes specially placed that follow the perimeter of the entrance. While in sol.1 we thought about adding a new and comfortable laundry room with the possibility of unloading and loading the washing machine and sink using a pressure system; in sol.2 this smaller room is a convenient closet while the washing machine finds space, again with a retractable system, in the anteroom. For the sleeping area, in addition to a functionalization of the rooms, a resizing of the rooms was thought, which now house many more wardrobes and walk-in wardrobes that can be used at full height; in addition, the master bedroom always with private bathroom in one solution is presented in a more modern version with sinks and semi-visible shower, while in the other in an ever modern but more traditional version with two sliding doors at the head of the bed that give access respectively to the bathroom and the other to the walk-in closet. To give movement and therefore a slight dynamism to these large rooms, a series of false ceilings has been thought of which, as can be seen in the floor plans, have different heights and can have the function of accommodating recessed lighting systems as well as perimeter led bars for a more diffused and comfortable lighting.
As for the two-room apartment on the ground floor, given the small size and poor accessibility of the rooms, a functionalization of the rooms was thought of, finding a more comfortable and bright solution for the living area and proposing a redistribution with hallway/anteroom, with the possibility of also hosting retractable wardrobes, for direct access between the living room and the bathroom. Furthermore, through a sliding curtain system, the sofa can also be transformed into a bed and offer the possibility of a second bed independent of the kitchen.
