The
main goal of the project is to transform this standard flat in a
student home, producing less
change ments as possible .
In
the order: adding one bathroom and one double bedroom, and if it's
possible, enlarging the kitchen (unique common space).
We
would like to propose two
solutions. “A”
SOLUTION The
cheaper and more practical one. The
new bathroom will be realized close to the kitchen, by this way it
will be possible to connect the new plumbing system into the old one,
using perimeter walls. By
this way we take advantage of the corridor space, included in the
fourth bedroom. We
excluded to place the bathroom in this space because of the plumbing
system. The
toilet would be too far from the old one, making difficult their
connection. To
connect the two toilets in this case would be necessary to increase
the floor in the kitchen, in the fourth bedroom and in both
bathrooms, or it would be used a SANITRIT or SANIPAC (mechanical
pump), that can easily crack ,causing problems. “B”
SOLUTION This
second solution offers a more rational use of space. We
think that, in a few years, it will be necessary to renovate also the
existing bathroom and the kitchen. Their
hydro and electrical systems are probably old, so that will be better
to renovate them, and to do not wait that they become older and
unsafe. Consequently,
we designed two adjoining bathrooms, naturally ventilated, with
plumbing system that will never causes problems. We
also enlarged the kitchen, making it functional and able to host a
big table, more comfortable and suitable for a student home. This
second solution it's more expensive comparing with the first one, but
we think that, for a correct (economic) management of the house, it's
better to restore the flat including its whole space. Colors Beying
a student home, the rooms are supposed to be places to sleep, to
study and to relax; that is why they will have a lot of furnitures. To
turn them ligher and lighfull we privileged white painting, except
for the walls behind the beds. These
will be paint with the “Purist” color (yellow, red, blue and
green), that are joyfull, and that will strongly characterize each
room. Preliminary
cost estimate Premise: the
project is for a home student, for this reason the systems (hydro,
electrical, sanitary, heating) must
be in order and certified. For this reason, in the estimation cost
are included renovating systems costs. “A”
