For the realization of this remodeling project, I propose comfortable, sober, and contemporary-designed spaces. Interventions in the existing area will be minimal, transforming the day area into an open space, which integrates the spaces through the use of colors, lighting, and textures.
ENTRANCE
First, at the entrance, I decided to demolish the previous wall that was separating the "ingresso" from the "disimpegno" to have better lighting and visual communication with the open space, also I have thought about placing a closet and a small piece of furniture in this hall. Next to it is the corridor that leads to the bedrooms, separated by wooden slats that allow to block the visuals and separate the day areas from the private areas. Likewise, this feature wall allows interesting kinds of lights and shadows during the day, and it is inspired by a Scandinavian modern contemporary design.
OPEN SPACE
All the day areas are in the open space, which has a sober and modern design, which through the use of wood and colors, creates a cohesive environment.
-The living room wall has a bioethanol fireplace and a sober and functional design, without shelves or other items since the view from this site is very important to make it compete with an overloaded space.
-The dining room is aligned with the window and is designed for a table of 6-8 people.
-The kitchen has a similar aspect to the living room wall, both walls being opposite manage to compose the space in a harmonic way.
I have already mentioned that the wall that separates the open space from the private rooms is made of wooden slats, so this is also a feature that characterizes this space, and for the wall that faces the visuals, I have decided not to put furniture for the reason that there is an important visual on this side that I do not want to compete with the interior design. I want the window to be like an art painting, which should not have anything on the side to be able to appreciate it better
BALCONY
The balcony in which I'm designing the BBQ grill has a direct connection with both the kitchen and the dining room, which is the expected relation between these two spaces, the BBQ Grill has a similar design to the kitchen and in some way, it is like the extension of it.
CHILDREN'S BEDROOMS
The two bedrooms have optimal living areas, both having a closet and a desk. One is a little bit bigger than the other, so to compensate for this, I decided that the smallest bedroom has a balcony (the one that is located where now is the kitchen).
NEW BATHROOM
The bathroom is next to the bedrooms and has a long shower, a bidet, a toilet, and a sink. The space is both comfortable and with good measurements and optimal relations.
LAUNDRY / TECHNICAL ROOM
This space has enough area to have a washing machine and to house the technical equipment of the home. It has also a connection to the space in which is the fecal columns.
MASTER BEDROOM
For the master bedroom, I have designed a big closet that has a sliding wooden door, which s also a decorative feature of the room and has a similar design to the open space wooden features. The room has a king-size bed, two nightstands, and a suspended tv console in front of the bed.
MASTER BATHROOM
The master bathroom has a 4-people jacuzzi, but it could be for 2-people only if you wanted to, in that way you will have a larger space for the sink. The bathroom also has a regular shower with a glass door, a toilet, a bidet, and a sink.
COLOR SCHEME
For the color scheme, I'm suggesting light tones for walls, cabinets, and furniture, natural wooden texture for some details that compose different spaces, and a dark blue which is used in small places just to give balance to the composition. Also, I think that the blue and red tones could go well on different pieces of furniture.
LIGHTING AND CEILING
As seen on the planes and renders, I propose different kinds of lighting fixtures and ceiling heights, and materials, that complement the interior design of each space.
