I just bought a new flat in central London. The flat is a two-bed and two-bathrooms. I would like to completely refurbish it to make it more personal and more tailored to may needs. I am a single City professional, and I would like my flat to be: (a) modern and very elegant in terms of style (e.g. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/b2/63/c9/b263c9f1d1a53733c7f62448b8c9aaa9.jpg; https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/425168021055080840/visual-search/?x=16&y=16&w=530&h=530; https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/205547170479380705/visual-search/?x=16&y=16&w=530&h=671; https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/668854982137079890/visual-search/?x=16&y=16&w=530&h=530); (ii) Instead of two bedrooms, I would need one master bedroom, one small studio, and a walk-in wardrobe (I have lots of clothes and shoes); (iii) the flat is a leasehold, thus, if possible, I would like to avoid swapping the room positions (e.g. should we move the kitchen to current bedroom, the leaseholder may not grant this may cause issues with the flat below having people dining and chatting on top of their bedroom) and limit structural works as much as possible; (iv) I really like glass walls and in-wall glass openings (as I love the light filtering throughout all the flat); (v) I really like external wall sliding doors (with hidden slider like this https://i.pinimg.com/originals/a2/ec/8d/a2ec8d223e7863aefeab9aa9ea658117.jpg); (vi) I really like raw materials for all the furniture (e.g. solid wood – no colour mat – for wardobes: https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/515873332312901395/visual-search/?x=15&y=15&w=496&h=628; steel https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/476466835567648700/; copper/gold https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/219620919314768720/visual-search/?x=16&y=21&w=530&h=662; stone; marble https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/147281850299790954/; glass); (vii) I do not like white walls and/or furniture. I really like grey and neutral colours for walls and raw (i.e. original coulour) materials for furniture. I am fine using bright colours only for accent pieces here and there.
