Although the one image speaks for 1000 of words, I would like to write some words.
The reference images, you've posted, I've been observed, for a lot of times, and I found that your current house style and ref images style, are similar, but not the same. They just do not match 100%. So, I decided to make some that is literally extension from your house, on the back yard. Your house is some like "New England residential style", and that is direction we should keep on. Therefore, I made 3D images, to make my decision more clear and transparent.
The roof, was not your clear goal, but from my point of view, building such a nice family corner, without roof, is useless, unless you live in hot Greece or sunny Egypt.
Kentucky has a lot of rainy dies, during them you could not use our outdoor seating, and however, you will have a lot of open space, when you want sun.
Position of the pool, is in the place with most sunshine, between 3 threes.
The pool shape is simple, providing maximum visibility of the pool swimmers.
You will notice that pool and seating area are longitudinal and parallel.
In that way we achieve to be much more easy to observe over the kids, simple they all will be like in some big movie screen, in front of you. You can seat under the roof, and easily with one look have all of them under the eye.
Shower and toilet, are relocated in dedicated small structure, added to the far west position, to be there, but not too much visible.
