First of all I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to work on your living room.
I modified the floor plan and did a few interior 3D renderings to make you visualize the space, giving you a small idea on what it would look like, and a brief furniture slide in case you would like to proceed with the design.
In the entrance area, I took advantage of the long wall and greet the visitor with a floating library, consisting of
suspended shelves. I also placed the dining area next to the glass cabinet and in a location close to the kitchen to facilitate the passage.
The dining table could be circular or rectangular depending on what you prefer.
In the living room area, I kept the same color palette because it gives the house a warm and light effect, but I added a few touches to give the room a modern look:
1- I turned around the position of the couches to make the space feel wider and bigger. Also, doing that will give you the possibility to watch television as you’re having a meal on the dining table.
2- A set of 3 coffee tables were added in the middle, giving you the flexibility to move them around
whenever having people over. You can make a composition of 3-4 coffee tables, it adds a playfulness and mobility to the room.
3- I also added 2 wall sconces giving the wall warmth and importance. Lighting is always essential, and by adding these wall sconces you will have 2 moods: (1) You can turn both the spotlights and the sconces, that way you have extra light when people are over and they will be the decorative focal point of your space, and (2) you can turn off the spotlights, and only turn the wall sconces on and create a more cosy and warm mood, for example at night when you're watching television.
You can also switch the sconces with decorative frames (photos or paintings) if you don't have electricity running on that wall.
4- And finally, I added greenery because it’s also a nice touch of color giving life to the room, purifying and humidifying the air in it.
I hope you liked my design, and thank you again for letting me work on your project!
