The proposed design is inspired by the clean & bright forms of simplicity, combined with natural materials and warm earth tones, aiming to create a cozy and relaxing family environment.
Spaces are organised based on the original brief. Basement includes the leisure & gym area as well as a sauna, attached to the new bathroom. The secondary areas (laundry and storage are situated in the same floor. Due to height limitations, the proposed lighting includes mainly wall, ceiling & floor lamps lamps, creating a relaxing and comfortable environment.
Ground floor includes the main common spaces, the living and dining area as well as the kitchen and lunch area. The living room is organised around the fireplace area. The old corner fireplace is rearranged into a linear one. Its design is inspired by simple contemporary forms and natural materials. The same materials and design principles are used at the dining area, unifying the two spaces. The old kitchen is extended towards the neighboring room, creating a lunch family area. The proposed colors and natural materials are selected aiming to create a warm and bright, inviting environment.
First floor and second floor include the family private spaces as well as the guest room. Master bedroom and bathroom are designed based on similar principles for clean and yet inviting design, combining natural materials with bright colors. Children's and guest rooms material selection is inspired by images of leisure in nature, combining vivid with earth tones. The reference images are included in the finishes design boards.
