The main achievements of the design are:
- a clear separation between day and night area with a big open living/dining room and a small but functional kitchenette (there will be no problem with drain or gas pipes if the work is simply done as requested by local building regulations);
- a new bathroom layout with a double access (from the hallway and from the bedroom);
- separate cabinets for the drier/washing machine and for coats in the entrance.

In lack of precise structural data, the request for an internal staircase to access the above terrace has not really been considered and possible placements indicated on demolition/reconstruction plan are merely hypothetical.
