A sophisticated artist and his easier shot, and easy artist with a sophisticated piece. An art expression that born from the cooperation of two different world: a circular return of meaning that find in the experience of perception its meaning. In the same way our proposal for this house is made from two different concept: a very refined world that meet an easier one. The aesthetic of the classic elements are read in a new way simply thanks to its comparison with a easier elements. Prized material like wood talks together with colours, textures and new forms in order to offer a perception of the space that suggest comfort and simplicity.

Damien Hirst: the most expensive artist behind Jasper Johns, leader of the (YBAs) (Young British Artists).
Death is at the center of his most famous and criticized works: bodies of dead animals stuffed and suspended in formaldehyde. Hirst, as well as the informal works, loves pop art too and "spot paintings" are an examples.
The idea behind the first work of this kind ("spot paintings" was born at the end of the '80) gave birth to a series of paintings where hirst pick out the colours and the compositions but leaving the assistants to paint.
A series of works of the uncertain numbers, also the art world operators ignore the exact number of the "spot painting".
Also if the colours compositions can transmit positive feelings, is also truth that hirst started to name this work with name of drugs, that can be summoned by the colour circles on the observer mind. Born as a critics to the consumer society, soon they was ude by come advertising campaign.

Banksy artist and writer of the mysterious identity, his works reach the cities of the world and made him one of the most influential personalities of the 2010.
Ironic and offbeat, non one know who's behind this artist, some websites and newspaper (as the Daily Best) think that behind the organization machine of this artist can be hidden personality such as Hirst.
Hirst and Banksy, collaboration was more than one. “keep it spotless”, the first and most famous, where a cleaning woman uplift the painting to hide the dust behind itself, was auctioned for 1,8 million of pounds.
The works that see a little painted mouse was made for the exhibition that the Bristol museum has dedicated to the mysterious writer.
Self-quotation, self-contamination, defiance and cooperation, the complicity between this two artists will no end so soon.


Our proposal for this house starts from a revision o f the submitted project maintaining the general composition and stressing some characteristics to make it more expressive.
The circulation space has been left in the courtyard side while the various activity was placed behind. Two differents way to perceive the landscape was designed in order to increase the comfort and the joyful view. The view from the house to the patio is open and wide while from to house to the olive hills will be focused and different.
Big windows for the living room make easy enjoy the patio and the seasonal colour of the biolake, in the corridor narrow and high windows let the sunshine enter and escort you along the walking and at the same time hide you while you are in the bedroom. In the bedroom the windows are spread along the external walls in order to take fragments of the landscape transforming them into pictures.
The living rooms are connected by the entrance thanks to two big windows and can be joined one to the other in order to make a big living room that go from a house to another. To strengthen this vision of two houses that seems one, a big customized shelf occupy the entire north wall and hosts the cabinets and the kitchen module of the big house.
Another chance to live the house exploiting the needing is to use the jolly room like a attachment of the bedroom. In this way would be possible to use it as a playroom for the children as well as a room dedicated to guests.
The aesthetic of the rooms is varied: mixed materials, colours and the reflections of the fireplace of the kitchen and of the chairs let the space becomes wider and warmer.
In the detailed sketch, as well as the dimensions of all the rooms, the openings, the finishes and the furniture, has been developed the lighting design.


The drawing details the internal wall positions, and gives the dimensions of the openings, both doors and windows, indicating in the windows the width, the height and the height of the thresholds, in order to help the dialogue with the constructor.
About the internal distributions, there is two things to point out: the value of the jollyroom and the distribution of the master bathroom of the small house. Using sliding doors between the bedrooms and the jollyroom you can transform three modest sizes rooms into one big playroom of more than 30 sqm. The small house bathroom, being dedicated to old people, was thought to be useful to people of reduced autonomy, in this space the simple replacement of the bathtub with a floor shower permits the complete use by people with a reduced walking ability.
The lighting design was overlying to the architectural ones using a different colour in order to help the reading, the chosen lights was selected to strengthen the architectural features of the spaces, ensure the usability also in the nighttime and at the same time increase the charme.
Into the environment where is expected a sedentary activity we have chosen a punctual suspension lamp while in the dynamic environment such as the corridor we preferred linear lamp that use diffuse light, capable to reduce the negative effect of the shadows.


The design objects defined for the living room has everybody the same orientation, classy stile with funny notes. Large modular sofa with clear and soft lines, large rounded edge table to accommodate numerous people and reflecting objects to enlarge the perception of the space.

The living room completes itself with flexible and colorful objects, the kitchen offer the chance to enlarge the surface to cook and can easily used for breakfast thanks to the stools. Other armchairs suggest different uses of the space, uses that can be enjoyed by grown up people as well as by children.

Other objects follow the same concept, the fireplace of the small house has been chosen to divide the kitchen from the living room as well as to give to the environments the view and the warm of the fire. The objects of the bathrooms have regular shape with rounded internal or external corners. Classy and funny for an elegant and easy house.

Ceramics tiles and linoleum were chosen to break the classicity of the wood floor. In the long corridors the linoleum helps to reduce the steps noise while the varied and clear texture, disguises the length of the space. In the living room a reinterpretation of the old tradition makes the kitchen environment easy to live and to clean while in the bathroom, colourful tiles with geometric shapes of the sixties divide the environment of the bathroom from the other part of the houses creating different worlds.

The lamps are defined in order to strengthen the value of the space, in the living room a sequence of suspended lamps produces warm sports over the floor and on the surfaces. Other suspended lamps are used to light the bedrooms and the jollyroom, the long wires permit to adjust the positions of the spot lights and to solve variable need. The wall lamps chosen for the bathroom can be oriented to have the best light that we need in the different situation: frontal in the mirror and diffused in the shower. The linear lamps used in the corridor orient the light to the wall and so diffuse the light in the environment shorten the projected shadows.




Un artista sofisticato in uno delle sue composizioni più accessibili, un artista informale in una delle sue accezioni più sofisticate. Un'espressione artistica che nasce dalla cooperazione di due differenti modi: in rimandarsi circolare di significato in cui il senso sta nell'esperienza della percezione.
Allo stesso modo, la nostra proposta per questa casa nasce da due differenti idee: un mondo estremamente raffinato che si incontra con uno più semplice. L'estetica di elementi classici viene letta in un modo nuovo semplicemente grazie alla giustapposizione con elementi più giocosi.
Materiali pregiati come il legno dialogano con colori, textures e nove forme al fine di offrire una percezione dello spazio che suggerisce comfort e semplicità.

Damien Hirst: l’artista vivente più caro dopo Jasper Johns, capogruppo dei YBAs (Young British Artists).
La morte è al centro delle sue opere più famose e criticate, corpi di animali deceduti imbalsamati e immersi in formaldeide. Non crea solo opere informali e dissacranti, è legato intimamente anche alla pop art e gli Spot Paintings ne sono un esempio.
L’idea dietro le prime opere di questo genere (i primi sono della fine degli anni ‘80) ha poi dato vita ad una vera e propria serie di quadri su tela, prodotti in cui Hirst sceglie i colori e le composizioni, ma lascia poi che siano gli assistenti a dipingere.
Una serie di opere il cui numero è incerto e persino operatori del mondo dell’arte ignorano la quantità esatta degli Spot Paintings.
Se la composizione di colori può dare subito sensazioni positive, è vero però che Hirst aveva iniziato a nominare queste opere con nomi di farmaci, che possono venire infatti rievocati dai cerchi colorati nella mente dello spettatore. Nati come critica alla società consumista, sono poi presto diventati un tema estetico ripreso da molte campagne pubblicitarie.

Banksy: artista e writer la cui identità è ancora un mistero, le sue opere graffiano le città di tutto il mondo e lo hanno reso secondo il Times una delle 100 personalità più influenti del 2010.
Ironico e anticonformista, si ignora chi si nasconda dietro questo pseudonimo, alcuni siti e giornali (ad esempio il Daily Beast) ritengono che dietro la grande macchina organizzativa di questo artista si possano nascondere identità proprio come quella di Hirst.
Le collaborazioni con Hirst di Bansky sono state più di una. “Keep it Spotless”, la prima e più famosa, in cui una signora delle pulizie solleva una tela di Spot Paintings per nascondere della polvere, è stata battuta all’asta per 1,8 Milioni di Sterline.
L’opera che invece vede un piccolo topo imbiancare un’altra tela di Hirst è stata creata in occasione della mostra che il museo di Bristol ha dedicato al writer misterioso.
Autocitazione e autoimbrattamento, provocazione e collaborazione, è ragionevole pensare che la complicità fra questi due artisti non sia destinata a finire.
La nostra proposta per la casa parte da una revisione del progetto esistente volta a rafforzarne alcuni aspetti per renderlo più espressivo.


L'organizzazione generale è stata lasciata invariata, con spazi di circolazione verso il patio e gli altri spazi nella parte opposta. Due diversi modi di percepire il paesaggio sono stati pensati per aumentare il comfort e la bellezza delle visuali. La vista del patio dalla casa è aperta e allargata mentre la vista verso le colline di ulivi è scomposta e variegata.
Le grandi finestre del soggiorno rendono semplice gioire del patio e della variazioni stagionali dei colori del biolago, lungo il corridoio invece abbiamo immaginato finestre alte e strette che lasciano che la luce del giorno accompagni la passeggiata lungo lo spazio, al tempo stesso la loro posizione è stata studiata per nascondere alla vista le camere da letto. Nelle camere le finestre sono diffuse lungo il muro esterno in modo da catturare frammenti del paesaggio per trasformarli in veri e propri quadri.
I Soggiorni sono connessi attraverso l'ingresso grazie a due grandi finestre e quindi possono essere uniti l'uno all'altro in modo da dar vita ad un unico grande soggiorno che spazia da una casa all'altra. Per rafforzare questa visione di due case che sembrano una sola, una grande libreria su misura occupa l'intera parete nord e ospita sia la cucina della casa grande che diversi pensili.
Un'altra occasione per vivere la casa in funzione delle esigenze è quella di utilizzare la jolly room come estensione delle camere da letto. In questo modo sarà possibile usarla sia come stanza da gioco per i bambini che come vera e propria stanza per gli ospiti.
L'estetica degli ambienti è variegata: gli accostamenti di materiali diversi, i colori e le riflessioni offerte dal camino, dalla cucina e dalle sedie lasciano percepire lo spazio come più ampio e accogliente.


Nella planimetria dettagliata, oltre alle indicazioni delle dimensioni di tutti gli ambienti, delle aperture e degli arredi e delle finiture proposte, è stato sviluppata anche la proposta illuminotecnica.
La planimetria dettaglia la posizione delle divisioni interne e quota la posizione delle aperture, sia delle porte che delle finestre, indicando in queste ultime oltre ai valori di larghezza e altezza, anche la quota delle soglie in modo da agevolare il dialogo con il futuro costruttore.
Per quanto riguarda la distribuzione interna, degna di nota risulta essere sia l'utilizzo delle jolly room che l'organizzazione del master bathroom della casa piccola. L'utilizzo di setti scorrevoli nelle pareti divisorie tra camere e jollyroom permette la trasformazione di tre stanze di modeste dimensioni in una sala giochi da oltre 30mq. Il bagno della master bathroom, essendo dedicato a persone di non più giovane età, è stato pensato come un bagno adatto a persone dalla ridotta autonomia, in questo ambiente infatti, la semplice sostituzione della vasca con una doccia a pavimento renderebbe i servizi completamente accessibili anche a persone con capacità deambulatorie ridotte.
Il progetto illuminotecnico è stato sovrapposto a quello edile utilizzando una cromia differente in modo da semplificarne la lettura, le luci proposte sono state selezionate per rafforzare le peculiarità architettoniche degli spazi, garantirne una fruibilità anche durante le ore notturne aumentandone al tempo stesso il fascino.
Negli ambienti in cui è prevista la sosta sono state scelte delle lampade puntuali a sospensione mentre negli ambienti dinamici come i corridoi abbiamo optato per luci lineari che funzionano per diffusione, capaci di ridurre al minimo l'effetto negativo delle ombre.


Gli oggetti di design scelti per il soggiorno hanno tutti le stesse caratteristiche, uno stile elegante con note divertenti. Un divano componibile lineare dalle forme morbide, un grande tavolo con gli spigoli arrotondati per ospitare numerose persone e oggetti riflettenti per ampliare la percezione dello spazio.

Il soggiorno si completa con oggetti flessibili e colorati, la cucina offre la possibilità di allargare lo spazio di preparazione e può essere comodamente utilizzata come piano per la colazione grazie agli sgabelli. Altre poltrone suggeriscono un uso differente dello spazio, un uso che può essere piacevole sia per gli adulti che per i bambini.

Altri oggetti seguono la stessa idea, il camino della casa piccola è stato scelto per dividere la cucina dal soggiorno e per dare a entrambi gli ambienti sia la vista che il calore del fuoco. I sanitari dei bagni hanno forme regolari come spigoli, interni o esterni, arrotondati. Stile e divertimento per una casa elegante e semplice da vivere.

Le piastrelle di ceramica e il linoleum sono state scelte per spezzare la classicità offerta dal pavimento in legno. Nei lunghi corridoi il linoleum aiuta a ridurre il rumore dei passi mentre il disegno chiaro e movimentato faranno sembrare il corridoio meno lungo. Nel soggiorno una rinterpretazione delle vecchie tradizioni rende la cucina facile da vivere e da pulire mentre nei bagni, piastrelle colorate e dalle forme riconducibili agli anni sessanta dividono i bagni dal resto della casa dando vita a mondi diversi.

Le lampade sono state scelte per rafforzare il valore degli spazi, nel soggiorno una sequenza di lampade sospese produce ambiti di luce calda sopra al pavimento e alle superfici. Altre lampade sospese sono usate per illuminare le camere da letto e le jollyroom, i lunghi fili permettono di spostare le lampade all'occorrenza in modo da incontrare le diverse necessità. Le lampade da muro scelte per il bagno possono essere orientare per avere la migliore luce per le differenti soluzioni, frontale allo specchio e diffusa sotto la doccia. Le lampade lineari usate nel corridoio dirigono la loro luce verso le pareti e in questo modo producono la luce diffusa capace di ridurre l'entità delle ombre.
