The project involves the construction of a new single-family house developed on one level. The location of the building exploits the full potential of the plot: the house creates privacy and protection for the most intimate environments and opens up towards the large private garden.

The place inspired the planning to a great extent: we wanted to create an “ode to the landscape” starting from the material volumes that make up the house with respect to climatic conditions.
The two volumes define the house’s functions with their shape, a large block that defines the day living area, while the other one corresponds to the sleeping areas. The choice of shapes, colors and materials underlines the design’s intention to build a house, in application to traditional elements. The color choice derives from the intention of juxtaposing the dark, almost compressed, longitudinal space with the more ample spaces of the rooms, which are inundated by natural lighting. Even the glass wall on the south is among the main materials chosen, so as to guarantee an osmotic relationship between the interior and the exterior of the house.

The day area and the night area are separate, but in constant relation with the outside through the great windows. As materials, the exterior reflects the interior.
The shape of the house is generated by the functional layout of the interiors and their best exposure creating two outdoor areas that are thus shaped with two different purposes: the south area with large windows facing the garden with a portico and the area, the north facade with fewer openings that is impermeable towards the road.

In the west entrance area block, there are facilities such as the parking, entrance lobby and a powder bathroom, with a continuous living area which extends toward the outside to a covered area, dining and kitchen with laundry/utility area and a north facing study area. While to the west block there are the bedrooms, bathrooms, and walk-in closet. The generous master bedroom with a dedicated suite bathroom and a walk-in closet get light from the large glass door facing south that also allows a beautiful view towards the garden.

The layout of the house allows the indoor areas to communicate directly with the outdoor ones, expanding the space both physically, through the porch, and visually, through the large glass doors. The room is filled with natural light that enters from the glass walls facing south. In addition, small windows frame the view towards the landscape, painting dynamic scenes as the seasons change.
