Thank you for providing this opportunity to design your vacation home in southern Italy. Considering the geographical location and the wind direction, a design solution that fits a family of six people has been presented.
As briefed, a long continuous living room with uninterrupted sea view and bedrooms on the opposite side of the house are provided. The windows are provided opposite to each other so that there is enough cross ventilation for the sea breeze.
The entrance is relocated to the west side and leads to a vestibule which in-turn opens into the living room with an allocated dining area and a kitchenette. A powder room has been placed beside the vestibule for the access to guests during a party hosted in the outside open area. The 3 bedrooms have 2 double beds and 2 single beds in a double bedroom making it 3 double bedrooms with wardrobes in total. There is a bathroom on the North-East side of the house with a shower. There are tall windows on 2 sides of the living room to get a wider sea view from inside the house.
The area outside the house has a small allocated area for dining with a pergola and trees and shrubs for cover and shade. The west side boundary wall can be covered with a fence and grow vines and place trees to provide a visual barrier. Beside the dining area is an outside lounge area to enjoy the summer breeze in the evenings. Another pergola with a metal roof is provided as a parking for two cars.
