Starting from an existing volumetry and the possibility of generating a structural system of beams and columns, a relocation of the main areas of the house is proposed.
The main premise is the generation of the so-called "Heart of the House". A large, open and totally fluid area facing South. It is the largest area in proportion, which enjoys the best orientation and has privileged views of the sea.
In addition, a visual and spatial interaction between the triad is proposed: living room, dining room and kitchen. This allows a much more direct communication between the spaces, at the same time that each of them continues to enjoy views towards the sea at all times.
On the other side of the house, the bedrooms and bathrooms are located. The master room with an en-suite bathroom is proposed facing East, so that it can also enjoy sea views. The other rooms along with their compartmentalized bathroom, are located on the North face, all of which have large windows, so that they can have good quality natural light and at the same time generate an interior-exterior relationship.
The open kitchen is located in the middle of the house and is the one that serves as a link between the open public part and the private part of rest. Additionally, a small toilet is proposed facing the open area of the house, so that it is not necessary for those non-residents to go to the private area.
The exterior area is characterized by the design of a wooden pergola that covers part of the exterior terrace and revolves around the limits of the house. Thus generating a parasol that protects the house from the solar incidence of summer.
The exterior accessible terrace is located between the house and the west area. This is protected vertically with a wood paneled wall and a horizontal pergola also made of the same material. It generates an open, protected and warm area by the material used. At the same time, it enjoys excellent views of the sea and has a direct relationship with the fluid interior open space of the house.
The project was carefully thought out according to the client's needs and designed in a sensitive way, to add an enriching architectural and spatial value.
