From the need of adding an extra single bedroom and stay within a limited budget, the design concept arises to fulfill these needs through two affordable and organized proposals.
---------------
• Each of the two proposals keeps the current spatial design and location of the bathroom, existing bedroom, and storage area. However, each of them solves the existing living room to host a suitable sized living room and a single bedroom, as well as reforming the boundaries of the kitchen space to create a direct access between it and the dining zone within the new living area.
• Each proposal is enhanced by a scheme for the selected materials for the newly created living area, entrance hall, single bedroom, and storage area; it also presents furniture organizations for each space within the whole apartment.
• The first proposal uses the entrance lobby (8.3 m2) (white laminate flooring) to create a direct yet separated access to the living area and the created single bedroom. In this proposal, the living area (16.7 m2) comprise a sofa, an armchair, a dining table for four, and an entertainment center. The dining table is positioned near the direct access between the kitchen and the living area through an opening within the kitchen’s wall. The organization of the furniture within the newly created living area creates a direct route to the terrace. The floor of the living area is finished by a white laminate, which creates a modern, beautiful, and affordable look. On the other hand, the newly added single bedroom (6.8 m2) comprises a desk with a chair, a single bed, and a cupboard, its floor is finished by paper bag faux hardwood; an affordable option for creating wood-like floors.
• The second proposal uses the entrance lobby (7.3 m2) (white laminate flooring) to create a direct yet separated access to the living area and the created single bedroom. In this proposal, the living area (13.3 m2) comprises a sofa, an armchair, a dining table for three, and an entertainment center. The dining table is positioned near the semi-direct access between the kitchen and the living area through an opening within the kitchen’s wall. The organization of the furniture within the newly created living area creates a direct route to the terrace.
