Ciò che nel progetto da modificare risulta problematico in maniera evidente è la configurazione distributiva degli ambienti a partire dall’ingresso. Un unico corridoio, della stessa larghezza per l’intero sviluppo, collega l’ingresso (!) con l’ampio soggiorno/pranzo servendo, lungo il percorso, tutti gli ambienti dell’alloggio a partire dalla lavanderia e dal secondo bagno posti proprio nel primissimo tratto. Con le porte chiuse dei vari ambienti serviti, questo ingresso-corridoio risulterà perennemente buio o illuminato artificialmente. Inoltre, il giardino si potrà vedere solo dopo 6 metri di corridoio e dopo avere aperto una porta!
Il progetto proposto tenta di risolvere questo “peccato originale”.
La posizione della vetrata sul giardino e la sua favorevole esposizione (sud-est) consentono la penetrazione della luce solare diretta. Il disimpegno che collega l’ingresso con il soggiorno/pranzo è posto in maniera tale da facilitare questa penetrazione che, specialmente con il sole basso invernale, consente ai raggi solari di entrare in profondità nell’appartamento. La luce solare (calda) si fonde con la luce d’ambiente (fredda) proveniente dalla finestra a nord-ovest dello studio/camera ospiti posta a ridosso dell’ingresso e chiusa su questo lato da una vetrata. Tutto ciò consente all’intero sistema distributivo, compreso quindi il disimpegno della zona notte, di essere illuminato dalla luce naturale del giorno.
Oltre all’illuminazione naturale, il nuovo sistema distributivo, ordina anche gerarchicamente la configurazione dell’appartamento. Sull’ingresso insiste solo lo studio/camera ospiti, successivamente, sulla sinistra, un disimpegno “attrezzato” con un armadio a muro dà accesso al soggiorno/pranzo e alla cucina, servendo, intanto, un vano lavanderia/ripostiglio e il bagno di servizio. In continuità con l’ingresso un altro disimpegno serve la zona notte con le due camere e il bagno principale.
Una leggera rotazione di alcune pareti rende il sistema più dinamico, asseconda l’ingresso della luce naturale, rivela quasi subito la presenza del giardino e suggerisce la percorrenza principale ingresso-soggiorno. Percorrenza sottolineata dal soffitto ribassato che dal disimpegno si riversa nell’ampio soggiorno definendone gli ambiti del pranzo, della cucina e del relax.
Il progetto ha infine risposto alle specifiche richieste della proprietà. La soluzione di base propone: 3 camere di cui le due più grandi sono le camere da letto, la terza, più piccola, è lo studio, che con la presenza di un divano letto, diventa camera per gli ospiti; un ampio soggiorno – pranzo alla cui estremità c’è la cucina fornita di un’ampia penisola per il pranzo veloce e per la colazione; due bagni, uno con doccia e l’altro con vasca; un vano lavanderia/ripostiglio per la lavatrice-asciugatrice incassate in un mobile lavatoio. Piccole varianti alla soluzione di base, che possono essere realizzate anche singolarmente, prevedono: il bagno principale con la doccia (70x140) al posto della vasca; la lavanderia/ripostiglio più grande con il secondo bagno più piccolo e senza doccia; una porta vetrata a chiusura della zona notte.
Per avere più luminosità le pareti sono in maggioranza bianche e il parquet chiaro. Per aumentare il calore percepito, gli arredi fissi sono realizzati in legno. Gli elementi impiantistici e strutturali (comprese le aperture nei muri portanti) rimangono gli stessi di quelli previsti nel progetto originale sia nella posizione che nella dimensione.

What is clearly problematic in the project to be modified is the distribution configuration of the environments starting from the entrance. A single corridor, of the same width for the entire development, connects the entrance (!) with the large living / dining room serving, along the way, all the rooms of the apartment starting from the laundry room and the second bathroom located right in the very first line. With the closed doors of the various rooms served, this entrance-corridor will be perpetually dark or artificially lit. Moreover, the garden can only be seen after 6 meters of corridor and after opening a door!
The proposed project attempts to resolve this "original sin".
The position of the window on the garden and its favorable exposure (south-east) allow the penetration of direct sunlight. The hallway that connects the entrance with the living/dining room is placed in such a way as to facilitate this penetration which, especially with the low winter sun, allows the sunrays to enter the apartment in depth. The sunlight (hot) blends with the ambient light (cold) coming from the north-west window of the studio/guest room near the entrance and closed on this side by a window. All this allows the entire distribution system, including the disengagement of the sleeping area, to be illuminated by the natural light of the day.
In addition to natural lighting, the new distribution system also hierarchically orders the apartment configuration. On the entrance there is only the studio/guest room, then, on the left, an "equipped" hallway with a built-in wardrobe gives access to the living/dining room and the kitchen, serving, in the meantime, a laundry/storage room and the service bathroom. In continuity with the entrance, another hallway serves the sleeping area with the two bedrooms and the main bathroom.
A slight rotation of some walls makes the system more dynamic, favors the entry of natural light, almost immediately reveals the presence of the garden and suggests the path entrance-living room. Path emphasized by the lowered ceiling which from the hallway flows into the large living room, defining the areas of lunch, cooking and relaxation.
The project finally responded to the specific requests of the property. The basic solution proposes: 3 rooms of which the two largest are the bedrooms, the third, smaller, is the studio, which with the presence of a sofa bed, becomes a guest room; a large living-dining room at the end of which is the kitchen equipped with a large peninsula for a quick lunch and breakfast; two bathrooms, one with shower and the other with bathtub; a laundry / storage compartment for the washer-dryer set in a wash-basin unit. Small variations to the basic solution, which can also be made individually, include: the main bathroom with shower (70x140) instead of the tub; the largest laundry / utility room with the second smaller bathroom without shower; a glass door closing the night area.
To get more light, the walls are mostly white and light parquet. To increase the perceived heat, the fixed furniture is made of wood. The plant and structural elements (including the openings in the load-bearing walls) remain the same as those provided by the original project both in position and size.
