Il riuso degli edifici nelle città storiche è oggi un tema di grande attualità e sul quale si fonda un progetto di città sostenibile. Per il progettista confrontarsi con realtà consolidate può essere particolarmente stimolante ed arricchente, poiché ciò comporta di sapersi adattare e proporre soluzioni comunque appropriate e innovative. Questo contest pone esattamente questi vincoli.
Ho completamente riorganizzato lo spazio della casa cercando di conciliare le richieste , le norme e i regolamenti, e le caratteristiche dell'unità immobiliare (forma, orientamento, spazio disponibile).

Questi vincoli hanno imposto una suddivisione dello spazio piuttosto chiara, in tre aree ben delimitate composte di spazi tra loro simili.
La zona giorno nella parte ovest verso strada, composta di un soggiorno-pranzo con spazio cottura con studio-camera degli ospiti. Gli spazi di servizio nella parte centrale dell'appartamento, priva d'illuminazione ed areazione diretta: disimpegno d'ingresso, bagno cieco, cabina armadio. All'altra estremità dell'appartamento la camera da letto con il bagno di pertinenza (almeno un bagno deve essere provvisto d'illuminazione ed aerazione naturale).

Il soggiorno è un unico grande spazio su cui si affacciano lo spazio cottura e lo studio-camera. La continuità dello spazio è sottolineata dal soffitto con travi e tavelle a vista, dal pavimento in legno, dai corpi illuminanti a parete (“Foglio” di Tobia Scarpa per Flos). Ho cercato di dare a questo spazio un carattere di semplice eleganza grazie ai colori (rosso della cucina, legno chiaro in terra, cotto sul soffitto) ed agli arredi.
Lo spazio cottura si trova inserito nel blocco centrale dei servizi ma si affaccia completamente sul soggiorno, con un controsoffitto che ne accoglie i dispositivi d'illuminazione. Lo studio è posto all'altra estremità del locale ed è un tutt'uno con esso, ma può esserne separato chiudendo la parete scorrevole in vetro bianco lucido non trasparente. In esso si trova un comodo divano letto per gli ospiti.

Il disimpegno d'ingresso è provvisto di un mobile in cui appendere giacche e cappotti e riporre le scarpe. Questo locale disimpegna di fatto tutti i locali dell'appartamento poiché da accesso anche al bagno ed alla camera da letto. Qualora fosse insufficiente lo spessore della soletta per dare l'adeguata pendenza ai tubi di scarico di cucina e bagno, il pavimento della cabina armadio e del bagno potrà essere leggermente rialzato. Ciò si rende possibile proprio grazie al raggruppamento dei locali di servizio. Il bagno cieco dovrà essere provvisto di aerazione forzata.

La camera da letto, come da richiesta, è orientata ad est ed è dotata di bagno proprio. La superficie minima della camera deve essere 14 mq. La presenza del bagno e soprattutto dei due pilastri ha imposto di ampliare la camera verso il corridoio, e così facendo si è potuta realizzare una comoda cabina armadio. Anche qui ho cercato di ottenere un ambiente accogliente ma elegante, inserendo un letto imbottito e dei comodini-tavolino in marmo. La sera ci sarà una morbida luce soffusa grazie alla lampada “Ariette” di Tobia Scarpa per Flos.


The building's reuse in historical cities is now a very topical issue and it's the basis of a sustainable city project. For the designer, a comparison with established reality can be especially challenging and enriching, as this will be able to adapt and propose solutions still appropriate and innovative. This contest has precisely these constraints.
I completely reorganized the space of the house trying to reconcile the requirements, rules and regulations, and the characteristics of the property (shape, orientation, available space).

These constraints have imposed a subdivision of space quite clear, in three areas well demarcated composed of spaces between them similar.
The living area in the west towards the road, consists of a living room with cooking space with studio-guest bedroom. Service areas in the central part of the apartment, without lighting and direct ventilation: entrance hallway, blind bathroom, walk-in closet. At the other end of the apartment there's a bedroom with own bathroom (at least one bathroom must be equipped with lighting and natural ventilation).

The living room is one big space which communicate with cooking space and study-room. The continuity of the space is emphasized by the ceiling with exposed beams and tiles, the wooden floor, the lighting on the wall ("Sheet" Tobia Scarpa for Flos). I tried to give this space a character of simple elegance thanks to the colors (red kitchen, light wood in the ground, cooked on the ceiling) and the furniture.
Cooking space is inserted in the central block of the services but completely overlooks the living room, with a ceiling that welcomes lighting devices. The study is at the other end of the room and is one with it, but it may be separated by closing the sliding glass wall glossy white opaque. In it you will find a comfortable sofa bed for guests.

The entrance hallway has a mobile to hang jackets and coats and store your shoes. This space disengages all areas of the apartment, as well as access to the bathroom and the bedroom. If the thickness of the slab is insufficient to give the proper slope to the exhaust pipes of the kitchen and bathroom, the floor of the walk-in closet and the bathroom will be slightly raised. This is made possible thanks to the grouping of local service. The “blind” bathroom must be provided with forced ventilation. The bedroom, as requested, faces east and has its own bathroom. The minimum area of ​​the chamber must be 14 sqm. The presence of the bathroom and especially the two pillars imposed to expand the room into the hallway, and in doing so it was possible to create a walk-in closet. Here, too, I tried to get a cozy yet elegant, inserting a padded bed and bedside-table in marble. In the evening there will be a soft glow through the lamp "Arlette" Tobia Scarpa for Flos.
